Hear you and theoretically I appreciate your fine comment on my stated situation. In theory I sit here smiling while rubbing Joys belly. Wanna know something? They raised the dog tax. 20€ more now. They also increased health insurance premiums by 20€, as did the car insurance. Bastards!

Everything is up here too. Fuel is up 85% in a year. Market items, clothing...
Dog tax? An actual tax for dog owners? Is it annual or how does that work? In the US we register a pet when we get them and if you move to a new location you register them again otherwise that's it. Dog tax sounds weird. How much is it?
Yupp tax for dog owners. We are in Germany and now it gets interesting. Depending on in which Bundesland you live you pay an annual tax between 80€/ 90$ and something around 1500€ / 1700$ if not more. You can pay more if you own two dogs and then there is also a difference between size and breed. I pay 100€ / 115$ which is still ok but then it's just because I live in this area.
Inflation sucks the little bit left from the last two years out of everyones wallets. January is the worst month here. All the insurances and tax vultures claiming their money. And then you calculate with what you paid before because, no, you don't get a notice that they raise stuff until they did already. And suddenly it starts to add up and you can only wave goodbye to your planned vacation.
