This is our weekly showcase where we highlight posts in this community shared here in the last seven days. These are the posts that have impressed us at COM the most.

Being home alone is something I cherish so much as long as I have electricity and my books. My mom had to work the night shift and I had the house all to myself.
I don't know what dragged me to seeing the horror film Netflix had been putting up for me to watch. I don't watch horror films at night especially when I'm alone but this time, the short info I read about the movie seemed quite interesting and I also thought that it wasn't gonna be so scary plus I am grown up. At least a girl in her twenties should be able to watch a horror film at night all by herself (my thoughts playing the drums for me while I danced to the tune).
I pressed the play button on the TV remote and the movie started. I had a book in my hands which I read while watching the movie. That's just me, I can't go anywhere without a book. So reading and watching it was. The movie had run thirty minutes already and it was getting super scary so I tried distracting myself from a scene by looking into my book. The moment I did, a drawing in the book made the little hairs on my skin stand.

"I am a comedian"- someone that is just funny looking.
"I don't usually do this but..."- someone that has done it plenty times.
Every single time I hear that I don't usually do this statement, I just know they are about to lie and ask for something they always ask for. I have a friend that said "I don't usually do this but I need somebody to buy me airtime" and I remember how many times he has asked me and a lot of other people for airtime.

A lady with a baby pump ( am I supposed to watch closely when I am already exhausted with the looks of Rihanna and Kareena lol). Her husband was lagging behind just like the tiger who has lost its battle. He spoke with confidence when I stood with him ( might want to impress me lol) Baby this pink colour will suit our baby girl. She took a 180° turn and asked, ``Who asked for your suggestion?? And by the way we are expecting a baby boy. XD I had sympathy with this guy as he was unknown from this mystery for the last 7 months lol.

The Manager appeared and clearly forewarned by the desk clerk, announced to me: "This hotel has an Olympic-sized pool, a luxurious bar and a big conference center which are available to be used."
"But I didn't use any of that, I didn't even eat here." I replied still unsatisfied.
> "They are here, well you could have used them whenever you wanted to." She went on to explain that I could also have seen one of the in-hotel shows that were always put up at the bar area and pool area."We make use of the best entertainers from around the world performing here."
> "But I still didn't go to any of this places and didn't see any of these shows"
> "Well, we have them, and you could have used them." She still went on. No matter what amenity the Manager mentioned, I still replied, "But I didn't use it!" and the Manager kept on countering with her standard response.

IT WAS A HUSTLE TUSSLE VIDEO FOR ME - @princessbusayo
Someone introduced me to Hive Open Mic's community one day when I visited his post, where he was singing, and I was so excited seeing his face for the first time, apart from the chatting we do on WhatsApp. He finally pressured me to join the community to help build my account too. He added that it's always fun there.
After so much persistence in bringing me to the community, he explained many things, and how I would go about editing my videos and submitting them. Geez, it was so stressful, but I did it anyway even though my siblings got their dose of my anger when they kept frustrating my moment. I almost screamed at my Dad because of that
