Hola a toda la comunidad, hoy les quiero contar una anécdota que sucedió hace un par de años, cuando la pandemia por coronavirus ya era una realidad en muchos países pero en Venezuela todavía no se había detectado el primer caso de contagio. Ante la alarma de la posibilidad de contagio en nuestro país, las personas se mantenían en alerta a cualquier situación; y uno de esos días (antes de llegar finalmente el virus a suelo venezolano) sucedió este momento chistoso:
Me encontraba en un autobús viajando de la ciudad de Maracay (Aragua) hacia Villa de Cura. Era alrededor de la 1:30 pm. Todo transcurría con normalidad durante el viaje. Pero cuando íbamos a mitad del trayecto, un señor de unos 45 años (para calcular edades soy malo) subió al bus y se quedó de pie en las escaleras de la puerta trasera. Aunque el señor no estaba borracho, sí tenía aspecto de haber bebido recientemente.
De eso también dio cuenta el colector, pues un tiempo después fue a decirle a este señor que subiera más las escaleras, porque no quería que se cayera del autobús. Pero el señor no le hizo caso al colector y se quedó en las escaleras.
Momentos después, en otra parada de bus, una señora como de 35 años (vuelvo a ser malo para calcular edades) tomó el autobús junto a una niña y un bolso de ruedas de esos que usualmente llevan a supermercados y fruterías. Ambas mujeres estaban de pie con el bolso a un lado, y quedaron de espaldas a la puerta trasera del bus, donde estaba el primer señor.
Cuando el autobús iba nuevamente en marcha, el señor que "había bebido" comenzó a toser insistentemente...

Hello to the entire community, today I want to tell you an anecdote that happened a couple of years ago, when the coronavirus pandemic was a reality in many countries but in Venezuela the first case of contagion had not yet been detected. Given the alarm of the possibility of contagion in our country, people remained alert to any situation; And one of those days (before the virus finally arrived on Venezuelan soil) this funny moment happened:

The collector also realized that, because some time later he went to tell this man to go up the stairs more, because he did not want him to fall off the bus. But the man ignored the collector and stayed on the stairs.
Moments later, at another bus stop, a 35-year-old lady (I'm bad at calculating ages again) boarded the bus with a girl and one of those wheeled bags that they usually take to supermarkets and greengrocers. Both women were standing with their bags to one side, and their backs were to the back door of the bus, where the first man was.
When the bus was moving again, the man who "had been drinking" began to cough insistently...

Pero la señora que iba de pie con la niña y el bolso de rueditas no dudó en ser rápida; pues agarró a la infante y la empujaba hacia el pasillo diciéndole: "¡Vete hacia allá, rápido. Quédate ahí!". También pude notar que varios pasajeros se arrimaban disimuladamente hacia la parte delantera del autobús…
Así pasó el viaje. En un punto del trayecto, el señor protagonista se bajó del autobús. Luego que se bajó, todos comentaban sobre lo ocurrido y lo que más se escuchaba era "coronavirus". Posiblemente no era, pues no pareció que el señor vino de viaje recientemente del extranjero.
Pero cuando finalmente el autobús llegó a destino y la señora revisaba su bolso con ruedas, notó que le faltaba un refresco de 2 litros. Y adivinen quién se lo llevó silenciosamente… se supo por otro pasajero que lo vio mientras lo robaba del bolso antes de bajarse.
Nuestro amigo con "coronavirus" resultó ser un ladrón.
The truth was a very funny moment, and at the same time alarming; because many people on the bus turned to see the man. In some glances you could see his concerns about the way he coughed; while in other faces there was an attitude of "And what's wrong with this man?"
But the lady who was standing with the girl and the bag on wheels did not hesitate to be quick; He grabbed the infant and pushed her into the corridor saying: "Go over there, quickly. Stay there!". I could also notice that several passengers were surreptitiously approaching the front of the bus...
That's how the trip went. At one point along the way, the man got off the bus. After he got off, everyone commented on what happened and what was most heard was "coronavirus". Possibly it wasn't, because it doesn't seem that the gentleman recently came on a trip from abroad.
But when the bus finally reached its destination and the lady was checking her wheeled bag, she noticed that she was missing a 2-liter soda. And guess who quietly took it… it was learned from another passenger who saw him while he was stealing it from the bag before getting off.
Our friend with "coronavirus" turned out to be a thief.
