My experience while searching for true love still makes me laugh to date. I don't why or how it happens but I believe every human gets to a stage when they start seeing the need to have a companion.
I always had the mindset of not having anything to do with the female gender until I was ready to settle down for marriage and some of my dreams must have come to reality for that to happen. I had many crushes all through my senior school but I was too focused on my future and didn't notice them.
My social life has been terrible since childhood and it really helped me in staying away from girls, I am always indoor unlike my sibling who loves to party. My style or should I say choice of living ended up making me a shy type and I became terrible at interacting with the opposite sex.
When my life journey got messy, I decided to quit the introverted lifestyle probably it might open ways of opportunities but I have stayed too long as an introvert and its effect wasn't a good one. I became more terrible when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex and that made me lose some green signals. I lost a lot and in the end, I had to start creating signals myself hoping to find true love.
I did lots of silly things just to win different ladies' hearts but they all became a joke to me. I will share just two so relax and enjoy reading through them.
I found someone I admired a lot but she never noticed me. Every time I get the chance to interact with her, she talks to me like a younger brother.
She didn't notice me or my signals but she definitely wasn't the shy type like me. I kept utilizing every opportunity I got to interact with her but nothing worked probably because I have been trying the tricks and moves from movies.
The church bought a land in a new developing area so we were to go there for a special night vigil. The whole church left and when we got there, the place was opposite what we expected.
There were only a few houses there and a thick bush. The weather was cold and there were lots of mosquitoes which we didn't prepare for.
I noticed this lady from afar, she was looking sad. I could hear her telling someone that she was feeling cold and that mosquitoes were biting her. I felt that was the perfect opportunity for me to get noticed so I approached her.
I offered her my shirt for the cold and a garment to cover her legs before the vigil started. I was exposed to cold and mosquitoes just to get attention, things we do for love.
After the vigil, she approached me to say thank you and I felt like the happiest man in the world. I started planning the next move since I have been noticed but the lady didn't come to church for about three weeks after.
I couldn't ask around for her so I hope she will come someday. She eventually came and I was happy.
During the church announcement, they mentioned that someone was getting married in a few weeks and when they called the person out, it turned out to be my crush.
Does that mean the sacrifice I made by offering myself as a meal to mosquitoes was in vain? I felt disappointed and happy for her at the same time.
Another experience I had made me feel reckless and I had to apply some sense to my hunt for true love after that.
I started talking to this girl then, she looked very innocent and was my spec. My interaction was improving already so I kept good communication with her.
We were chatting one day when she said her birthday was approaching.
That's interesting, right? I asked her what she wanted for her birthday and she said anything because she hasn't gotten a birthday gift before in her entire life.
That sounded like a lie but for the sake of love, I choose to believe it. I started saving up for her birthday but the money went to another thing. A day before her birthday, I was sad because I still couldn't get the money to buy a gift.
That evening, I went to my phone engineer to swap my phone for a smaller one and I got about $6. I used the money to get her a gift and she was really happy about it not knowing she was pretending.
I went on Facebook later that night and I saw pictures of a new phone she uploaded with the caption, "thanks love for the gift". I checked further for my gift and it was nowhere to be found.
I didn't bother chatting her up but I did the next day. "That must be a very expensive phone", I said just to make her talk and she fell for it.
"Yes, it is. My boyfriend bought it for me", she replied.
I was surprised because she told me before that she didn't have a boyfriend. I didn't bother asking how the guy who bought her a phone suddenly became her boyfriend. I closed her chapter because I don't compete for love.
I kept doing silly things just to find love until I eventually found someone who fell in love with my silliness. I grew to understand more about relationships and was slowly letting go of those silly things I do to express my feelings.
My lover noticed I was stopping and begged me not to stop because my style is pure and sweet. Today, I am still a very silly lover but just to one person.
That's sad George that a girl fooled you...some are really opportunists. They would take advantage of your kindness..
But, how's your love life now? Haha..getting married?
I was a complete novice and wouldn't blame them because I would have been hurt more if they had pretended to be in a relationship with me.

Haha, you voluntarily gave yourself as a meal to mosquito and cold because of love you have not confirm first, it seems you will be the romantic type and your current girlfriend/ fiancee will be so glad you finally found her.

I was the one dating them in my head already and I am glad that they didn't pretend to love me because I will be greatly hurt if I got to know that one was getting married and the other had a boyfriend.
But lying about not getting a birthday gift before wasn't fair.
Such is life. Make sure you don't forget the lesson you have learned. When you really settle down.
