Wedding in a military garrison

Radio engineering units in the forest live according to special laws.
If you start describing any episode from this life to a simple city dweller, even in pastel colors, after a minute and a half he begins to laugh angrily and accuse you of at least exaggeration, and even of outright lies.
But I still dare to describe to you the process of marriage of a young officer in such a company.
The young bride arrived in the Karelian unit from Kherson and instantly felt the difference in climatic conditions.
In addition, according to the unwritten law of meanness, on the eve of her arrival, the groom was sent to tactical exercises.
The confused bride stood in the middle of the bachelor's housing, and the officers' wives calmed her down as best they could and promised that the groom would definitely return by the scheduled date.
“We haven’t even submitted an application yet...” The bride sobbed
–Sure, not a problem! “The commander’s wife hugged her shoulder. - Go!
The village council greeted the women with cozy warmth and the smell of freshly baked cheesecakes. There was no chairman, but the secretary carefully seated the guests at the table and offered everyone tea and pies.
Having chatted about everything, the women moved on to the main thing.
– We have a bride here and we want to apply for a legal marriage. – The commander’s wife reported.
–Where is the groom? – asked the secretary
– He's on training exercises. Is it possible without it?
–Will you also write the application without it?
The bride nodded affirmatively and pulled the form towards her. After a couple of minutes, she looked up from her writing and guiltily stared at the commander.
“I don’t remember his date of birth...” She whispered
– Leave them empty for now. When he arrives, he’ll finish it himself.
– And here we also need passport data...
–He has an ID card. Don't fill it out yet either. This is not the main thing for family life. It's good that you remember your middle name. The father-in-law is in second place for the daughter-in-law.
The secretary read the statements, shook her head and said:
– What date do you need?
– What kind of free space is there? – The women looked at each other.
– Everything is free until March 8th. And after too. We don't work until the eighth.
– Maybe the seventh? – The bride asked hesitantly
– Let's do it on the seventh. – The commander confirmed.
The secretary made a note in the registration book and solemnly said:
– On March 7th we are waiting for the bride and groom with documents, witnesses and rings by 12-00.
“We don’t have rings...” the bride stammered barely audibly.
– We'll find it. – The secretary nodded at the box in the sideboard. – We have brass ones here, but of any size. Our turner made a gift for the newlyweds.
The commander's wife hesitated and looked pleadingly at the secretary.
– We only have a transport vehicle. Apart from the driver, only the bride and groom will fit in the cabin. Is it possible without witnesses?
“Okay,” the secretary continued her conciliatory policy, “we’ll find witnesses on the spot.” Something else?
The bride hesitantly took a step forward and clasped her fingers in front of her.
“Tell me, please,” she asked in a trembling voice, “if he is not released from the training, will it be possible without a groom?”
The secretary dropped her pen in the saucer and stared at the bride, whose lower lip was trembling more and more often.
The commander quietly winked at her, and she approached the girl.
“Of course you can, dear, just don’t cry.” “She sat the bride down at the table and poured her tea. “We’ll sign it, get married, and issue the certificate in the best possible way.” But there is still time until the seventh, maybe the groom will return by then. Let's give him a chance to live up to your expectations.
The commander’s wife sat down next to her, hugged the bride and said:
– Of course he will. He will still have many teachings, but the wedding will only happen once. Ideally, of course.
P.S. The groom managed to return to the unit with two real wedding rings by the wedding day. The witness and witness were taken from the unit in a transport vehicle, and the bride and groom were brought to the wedding by a village UAZ. Before the wedding, the bride copied the groom's full ID details into her notebook. Just in case. A fighter specially sent to a remote regional center delivered nineteen carnations to the newlyweds.

Sort:

Hopefully they had a full-fledged rest of their married life, that weeping bride did have some misfortunes.
Greetings
