The Babysitting Emma

I moved to England from Nigeria to study, and I needed a part-time job to make money. I decided to babysit because I was good with kids and it paid well so I thought instead of my talents wasting away, let me convert it to a sourc of income. Well it ends up to work beyond what I imagine of.

One of the kids I babysat was Emma, a British girl who was very funny and always did things that were actually unexpected and mind blowing. Her parents were very nice and told me that I could bring my friends over while I babysat.

Her favorite game was "Hide and go Seek". Looking back, I really enjoyed playing it with her even though she wasn't really good at hiding, it usually went like this : "Where is she? Is she in the kitchen?" ...silence... "Is she in the bathroom?" ...silence... "Is she in the closet?"And from the closet, I hear, "No!"I was so relieved to hear Emma's voice. I rushed to the closet and opened the door. Emma was inside, giggling. She had hidden behind a pile of clothes.I picked her up and gave her a big hug. I was so glad that she was safe.

One day, we went swimming at her country club. After we finished swimming, we went to the locker room to get dressed. As I was changing my top, Emma looked at me and said, "My mom has those too."
I asked her what she had, and she said, "Breasts."

I didn't say anything and just continued getting dressed. But Emma wasn't finished.
She paused for a second and then said, "Except hers are really...long."
I had to bite my cheek to keep from laughing.

I know that Emma was just a curious child, but her comment was still funny. It's a reminder that kids see the world in a different way than adults, and they often say things that are unexpected and humorous. She made me to remember how sharp children memories are, very sharp truly.

One evening, I brought my boyfriend William over to meet Emma. William is from Norway and has a beard and long hair. He was a little bit scared of children at first. When we got to Emma's house, she looked at William with curiosity and a little bit of fear. She whispered to me that she was scared of him because he looked like a rock star.

I tried to tell her that William was a nice person, but she didn't believe me. She shook her head and decided to do something about it. A few minutes later, I came back downstairs and saw Emma braiding William's hair! She told him that he looked like Thor, a character from a movie.

William was very surprised. He couldn't believe that Emma was braiding his hair. He had never thought that he would enjoy babysitting, but Emma had changed his mind. Another time, Emma asked me for a drink. I gave her a glass of milk and a bowl of water. She placed the glass and bowl on the floor and looked at me with a big smile. She asked me to make a video of her being a cat.

I was confused, but I did what she asked. I recorded her on all fours, drinking from the glass of milk and the bowl of water. She was making the most realistic cat noises I had ever heard. She was a very good cat. Her parents loved the video. They laughed and laughed when they saw their daughter being a cat. They probably forwarded the video to their friends and family.

Emma was a very funny and creative British kid. She showed me that laughter is the best way to deal with the unexpected things that happen when you are babysitting. My boyfriend William also learned to appreciate the wacky, wonderful world of kids, all thanks to Emma.

Emma was the best babysitting client I ever had. She was funny, creative, and always kept me on my toes. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to babysit her.

Children are so sharp to picture things, Emma said, Williams look like Thor, I thought Williams beard make her to be freighten, but she has the boldness to braid Williams beard.
Emma braid William's hair so that, you could see for yourself, that Williams look really like Thor.
