Wodensthrone - very proggy, love it.. and never heard of them before. I will be following your posts with interest. Tell me you are an Opeth fan?

Yep! Although I'm not a fan of the Heritage era. Their early Progressive Black Metal stuff was more interesting in my opinion. Black Rose Immortal off the Morningrise album is magnificent!
I just couldn't get into the change of direction from Heritage onward. I know its heavily influenced by Steven Wilson. And I love Wilson, and I love prog rock! But I don't like Opeth doing prog rock... it seems to be missing something
Oh.. now we are on the same wavelength. Steven Wilson / Porcupine Tree, I rate as a god and god band! The last FOUR albums by the band (the metal phase) are just incredible as is Steven's solo work. I have seen him live twice.
Opeth, up to and including Watershed I love, when the growls went away they lost something. The earlier albums I haven't listened too yet, as it was Wilson who drew me in with vocals on Bleak. I will add the earlier Opeth stuff to my car (where I listen to music), been meaning to do it for ages.
@detlev is into his metal music, he used to do a Metal Weekend but hasn't in ages... (prod @detlev).
This track off Opeth's latest, 'In Cauda Venenum' has some bite and is a more like their old stuff, and cool after a few listens.
Got it and will deliver.....
