I use this term to refer to the activity of finding 1$ daily. Mining is a very difficult activity that requires a lot of effort and a lot of dedication, and in which you only have the hope of finding something valuable based on constancy. That's why my content is going to be based on finding 1$ daily, based on what I'm going to produce: in first place is the comic or the production of comics and in second place will be the illustration.
The task is to generate income until I achieve economic stability. I put 1$ as a minimum, which although I know it is not enough, it is the equivalent of a minimum wage in my country. Remember that we are in a task to make our business profitable and we cannot aspire to receive millions when nobody knows us.
To make it even more difficult I decided to close or limit all my income to the minimum possible, this for two reasons: 1- I need time to get my project off the ground and 2- I was close to burning out as a cartoonist (I will tell you this in a storytime).
Uso este término para referirme a la actividad de encontrar 1$ diariamente. Minar es una actividad muy difícil que requiere de mucho esfuerzo y mucha dedicación, y en la que solo tienes la esperanza de encontrar algo valioso basado en la constancia. Por eso mi contenido va a estar basado en encontrar 1$ diario, a partir de lo que voy a producir: en primer lugar está el cómic o la producción de cómics y en segundo lugar estará la ilustración.
La tarea consiste en generar ingresos hasta lograr una estabilidad económica. Colocó 1$ como mínimo, que aunque sé que no es suficiente, es lo equivalente a un salario mínimo en mi país. Recuerden que estamos en una tarea de lograr que nuestro negocio sea rentable y no podemos aspirar a recibir millones cuando nadie nos conoce.
Para ponerle una dificultad adicional decidí cerrar o limitar todas mis entradas de dinero a lo mínimo posible, esto por dos razones: 1- Necesito tiempo para poder sacar mi proyecto y 2- Estuve cerca de quemarme como dibujante (esto lo contaré un “storytime”).
It's difficult and I'm actually in a complicated situation, but I've been in worse and I've come out of it. I find what I am doing very exciting. One part depends on me and the other part depends on all those who follow me and read me, who I hope will like all this content, especially the comics that I am going to start producing.
My idea has always been to generate entertainment, that my project can be identified as a good proposal for anyone who wants to enjoy it. Despite taking relevant facts of my country, I will never pretend to create an opinion for or against any socio-political movement.
The comic will be free, the support or income I will receive will be subject to the contribution I will receive on this platform. My idea is that in the medium to long term I can generate merchandise related to my universes of characters; but that already has some much broader and complicated factors, which must be managed; and I repeat it depends on the acceptance of my material.
I will enable a PATREON or an additional page where people can make donations if they wish, at a very low cost. Money or funds that will allow me to give continuity to my projects, and in exchange they will have some kind of exclusive content, which could be from a micro comic, an illustration, a wallpaper or simply to know in a more exclusive way, all the process that I have been developing in my comic projects.
I don't only have comics with superhero themes, I have other additional projects that I will tell you about in a post, and that you can support if you wish.
Additionally I will show how I relate my drawings with crafts, because I am also a big fan of making crafts, and from there generate some kind of product that could well be marketed, inside or outside my country.
Es difícil y de hecho estoy en una situación complicada, pero ya he estado en peores y he salido a flote. Me parece muy emocionante lo que estoy haciendo. Una parte depende de mí y la otra parte depende de todos aquellos que me sigan y me lean, a los que yo espero les guste todo este contenido, en especial los cómics que voy a empezar a producir.
No pretendo general identidad nacionalista para enaltecer una bandera, ¡no! Mi idea siempre ha sido generar entretenimiento, que mi proyecto pueda ser identificado como una buena propuesta para todo el que quiera disfrutarlo. A pesar de tomar hechos relevantes de mi país, jamás voy a pretender crear una opinión a favor o en contra de cualquier movimiento sociopolítico.
El cómic será gratuito, el apoyo o ingreso que recibiré estará sujeto al aporte que voy a recibir en esta plataforma. Mi idea es que a mediano largo- plazo pueda generar mercancía relacionada a mis universos de personajes; pero eso ya tiene unos factores mucho más amplios y complicados, que hay que saber manejar; y repito depende de la aceptación que tenga mi material.
Habilitaré un PATREON o una página adicional donde la gente podrá hacer donaciones si lo desea, a un costo muy bajo. Dinero o fondos que me permitirán darle continuidad a mis proyectos, y a cambio tendrán algún tipo de contenido exclusivo, que podría ser desde un micro cómic, una ilustración, un fondo de pantalla o simplemente conocer de forma más exclusiva, todo el proceso que he ido desarrollando en mis proyectos de cómics.
Ojo no solo tengo cómics de temáticas de superhéroes tengo otros proyectos adicionales que ya les comentaré en un post, y que podrán apoyar si así lo desean.
Adicionalmente mostraré cómo relaciono mis dibujos con manualidades, porque también soy muy fan de hacer manualidades, y a partir de ahí generar algún tipo de producto qué bien podría ser comercializado, dentro o fuera de mi país.
