It's easier for a comedy comic strip. Tougher for a serious one. Although all the Golden Age heroes that have lasted for decades have ridiculous names. If someone wanted to start a "Superman" comic today I'm pretty sure it would be assumed to be a white supremacist. And how much thought went into Batman?
