I have finished at the 1st in the diamond league on Duolingo! I am usually not super competitive, but there is an achievement for finishing at the first place and I didn't have it, now I have got it!
It is usually very hard, because the top #3 on the diamond league have thousands of XP points, but last week I noticed that my league mates only had a couple hundred, they were going "slowly" (still was pretty fast) so I knew that if I were to get that achievement it had to be now. If I waited, maybe the next league would have more competitive players and I wouldn't have such an opportunity again!
I am studying Chinese, Russian and French.
I have been studying Chinese for almost 7 years already. I am not fluent in Chinese (yet) and it is getting difficult to advance, so I have been doing Russian for the past couple of months just to do something fresh. I do some french lessons every now and then because it is easy (lol) and basically free XP, but I am not giving up on Chinese, just taking a rest. I will be fluent in Chinese, Russian and French, maybe not this year, but if I never give up it is just a matter of time.
