100% agree. Techno is indeed more than just music! To me, it's a culture and in some ways even a lifestyle. These days Techno became more or less mainstream with many new 'fans' who don't understand what Techno is all about, but that's ok. I won't forget and I won't get side tracked :)
Where did you take this photo? It did remind me immediately of the "I Love Techno" events held in Belgium. I think its still going with edition 2x or something coming up?

I like Techno's minimalistic spirit and progressive nature. You really have plenty of time to really delve into the sound. Pure sound and textures, like abstract Art. This is sort of good four our brains to let tension and stress go out and be hypnotized. That and dancing, the most important thing and primordial form of expression !
My sub-Techno-genre of choice is Dub Techno. I just love this deepness and the chord sound. Stuff like Basic Channel, Maurizio, Atheus... Not so found of the heavy hard pounding industrial kind of Techno though.
