RE: Дякую, пане Генерале за відвертість!

in Team Ukraine2 years ago (edited)

Zaluzhny was exaggerating, he claimed the Russians aren't as well equiped and then he proceeded to demand 300 tanks, 700 ifv, 500 howitzers! The insanity, think about this: Russia started with 150k troops and destroyed hundreds more tanks than 300, thousand more ifvs than 700, hundreds more howitzers, and did it all with t72's and almost no Air, and especially not any current gen Air.

They have mobilized 200k to the front and another 200-300k are still doing refreshing and training, and they're supported by TOS flamethrowers, 9-1 Artillery advantage, 800 t62, Terminators, and in the front they have hundreds of t72 and t90 with SU57 above and KU52, both of which employ exquisitely capable radar and anti radar weapons, plus their troops have over a dozen different drones, EW, and new MANPADS, while Ukrainians don't even have electricity or water, NATO stockpiles are dry on Artillery and the Russians have Tornado-S which outperforms HIMARS, of which they have dozens of times more than the total HIMARS that Ukraine received!

So frankly, he's not just contradicting himself, he's blatantly trying to float the idea that the billions of military aid didn’t get ran through by the Russian Pain Train while tacitly admitting that the Russians with not even a third their current force destroyed the Ukrainians thousand tanks and thousands of IFV to the point that all he has are two battalions:

"I know I can defeat this enemy. But I need resources. I need 300 tanks, 600-700 infantry fighting vehicles, 500 howitzers. Then, I think, it is quite realistic to reach the frontiers on February 23. But I can't do it with two brigades. I get what I get, but less than I need," Zaluzhny also said.

With such resources, he noted, "I cannot conduct new large operations, although we are currently working on one. She's on the way, but you haven't seen her yet."

In his opinion, "the Russian mobilization has worked. It is not true that their problems are so terrible that these people will not fight. They will. The king told them to go to war, and they are going to war. I studied the history of the two Chechen wars — it was the same there."

"They may not be as well equipped, but they still pose a problem for us. According to our estimates, they have a reserve of 1.2–1.5 million people … The Russians are preparing about 200,000 fresh soldiers," he said.

Zelensky wants him replaced, remember only 13,000 Ukrainians died.. BTW, the Russians have 25 million Reservists, more than the entire male population of Ukraine.
