"Return alive" is a fund that I have known from the very beginning and at one time I even managed to cooperate with them. I was the person who added English subtitles to a video by Vitaly Deinega called "Chronicles of an Undeclared War". It was the distant year of 2017, Vitaly was on one of the Ukrainian TV channels telling the chronology of the russian-Ukrainian war, which at that time was focused exclusively on the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"Повернись живим" це фонд, який я знаю з самого початку і свого часу мені, навіть, вдалось з ними співпрацювати. Я була людиною, котра додавала англійські субтитри на відео від Віталія Дейнеги, котрі називались "Хроніки неоголошеної війни". Це був далекий 2017 рік, Віталій на одному із українських телеканалів розповідав хронологію російсько-української війни, котра на той момент була зосереджена виключно на території Донецької та Луганської областей.
It was interesting to me, because all the information in the video was short and as informative as possible. And I was happy to help a volunteer organization. Damn, that was gorgeous. And now I will talk about "Come back alive" in more detail. The "Come back alive" initiative was founded in May 2014 by Vitaliy Deinega, an IT specialist from Kyiv. Since 2014, the key goal of the fund is to make the Armed Forces more efficient, save the lives of soldiers and systematically counter the enemy. Since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Return Alive has multiplied aid to the army and supports defenders of Ukraine who have changed their normal lives and entered the defense line.
А тепер я розповім про саме "Повернись живим" більш детально. Ініціативу «Повернись живим» у травні 2014 року заснував IT-спеціаліст із Києва Віталій Дейнега. З 2014 року ключова мета фонду — зробити Збройні Сили ефективнішими, зберегти життя військових та системно протидіяти ворогу. Від початку повномасштабного вторгнення у лютому 2022 року "Повернись живим" збільшили допомогу армії в рази і підтримують захисників України, які змінили своє звичне життя та вийшли на лінію оборони.
The fund buys equipment that helps save the lives of the military, in particular, thermal imaging optics, quadcopters, cars, protection and intelligence systems. Instructors also train sappers, drone operators, gunners and snipers, and also teach first aid and assist in secret missions.
Фонд закуповує обладнання, яке допомагає рятувати життя військових, зокрема, тепловізійну оптику, квадрокоптери, автомобілі, системи захисту та розвідки. Також інструктори займаються підготовкою саперів, операторів безпілотних літальних апаратів, артилеристів і снайперів, а ще навчають домедичній допомозі й сприяють проведенню секретних місій.
Since 2014, the Fund has collected more than 3 billion hryvnias, or more than 110 million dollars, for the needs of the Armed Forces, and has trained more than 10,000 highly qualified military specialists. Despite all this, the fund has transparent financial analytics, reports can be monitored almost in real time.
З 2014 року Фонд зібрав на потреби ЗСУ понад 3 мільярди гривень, або понад 110 мільйонів доларів, та підготував більше 10 тисяч висококваліфікованих військових фахівців. При всьому цьому фонд має прозору фінансову аналітику, звіти можна відстежувати практично в режимі реального часу.
An important story for the organization is the rehabilitation of veterans and their reintegration. The veteran department appeared in 2018. The team understands that the war will end someday, leaving behind a huge number of veterans, combatants, and families without parents. Therefore, "Return Alive" chose the mission of gradually solving this social problem.
Важливою історією для організації є реабілітація ветеранів та їхня реінтеграція. Ветеранський відділ з’явився у 2018 році. Команда розуміє, що війна колись закінчиться, залишивши по собі величезну кількість ветеранів, учасників бойових дій, родин без батьків. Тому «Повернись живим» обрав місію поступово розв’язувати цю соціальну проблему.
Currently, the department has two key areas: veteran sports and veteran business. Veteran sports are promoted through a variety of sporting events, including the Invictus Games, an international Paralympic-style sporting event.
Another direction is the development of veteran business. The fund launches mentoring programs, courses, legal consultations, helps with promotion in social networks.
Зараз у відділі є два ключові напрямки: ветеранський спорт і ветеранський бізнес. Ветеранський спорт просувається через різноманітні спортивні заходи, зокрема завдяки організації Invictus Games — це міжнародні спортивні змагання в паралімпійському стилі.
Інший напрям — це розвиток ветеранського бізнесу. Фонд запускає менторські програми, курси, юридичні консультації, допомагає з просуванням у соцмережах.
Among the recent large-scale projects implemented by the fund, I would like to note the following:
- Purchase of 10 unmanned PD-2 complexes with mobile ground stations, the total cost of which is approximately 300 million hryvnias, or 8.5 million dollars. These are reconnaissance unmanned complexes, which were completely created in Ukraine by the "UkrSpecSystems" team. Drones with a flight radius of more than 200 kilometers are able to significantly help our soldiers conduct reconnaissance in temporarily occupied territories and determine the locations of enemy troops.
Із останніх масштабних проєктів, котрі реалізував фонд хочу відзначити наступні:
- Придбання 10 безпілотних комплексів PD-2 із пересувними наземними станціями, загальною вартістю приблизно у 300 мільйонів гривень, або 8,5 мільйонів доларів. Це розвідувальні безпілотні комлекси, котрі повністю створені в Україні командою "UkrSpecSystems". Безпілотники з радіусом польотів у понад 200 кілометрів, здатні суттєво допомогти нашим воїнам вести розвідку на тимчасово окупованих територіях та визначати місця дислокації ворожих військ.
- They signed a contract for the purchase of 25 "Leleka" drones with a total cost of over 36 million hryvnias. I would like to remind you that today aerial reconnaissance is one of the most important areas of work and development of the military. Because, in the yard of the 21st century, it is possible and necessary to fight with technologies, and not with living human power.
- Підписали контракт на закупівлю 25 безпілотників "Лелека" загальною вартістю понад 36 мільйонів гривень. Хочу нагадати, що аеророзвідка на сьогоднішній день є одним із найважливіших напрямків роботи та розвитку війська. Тому що, на дворі 21 століття і воювати можна та потрібно саме технологіями, а не живою людською силою.
- The organization purchased 6 new mobile repair stations for the maintenance of HMMWV vehicles and other Western armored vehicles for the amount of 2 million 148 thousand euros.
- Організація придбала 6 нових мобільних ремонтувальних станцій для обслуговування автомобілів HMMWV та іншої західної броне- та автотехніки на суму 2 мільйона 148 тисяч євро.
- Collected more than 100 million dollars since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine. These funds go not only to drones and thermal imagers, but also to other equally important things - bulletproof vests, first-aid kits, modernization of air defense systems, repair and maintenance of equipment, etc.
- Зібрали понад 100 мільйонів доларів від початку повномасштабного вторгнення росії на територію України. Ці кошти йдуть не тільки на безпілотники та тепловізори, а і на інші не менш важливі речі - бронежилети, аптечки, модернізація ППО, ремонт та обслуговування техніки тощо.
