Utah Vacation 2010 - Series 2

in Photographers2 months ago

Here is another group of shots I took while on vacation to Utah in 2010. These will consist of photos from hikes and drives I did in both Zion and Bryce National Parks. These pictures were taken with an old Fuji Finepix A210 I had at the time. Just a little digital point and shoot with a little zoom but it did take some pretty good pcis. Plus I was able to post process them with the aid of Adobe Lightroom. 😀

Above a couple shots I took during a hike along Taylor Creek in Zion.

Below is the payoff at the end of the hike, a double arch.

This was a panorama of two shots I was able to stitch together in Lightroom. I took the two shots trying to capture the enormity of the sight before me. I had no idea some 10 years later I would have software that allowed me to make it on picture.

While leaving Zion headed toward Bryce I stopped to look for some petroglyphs in this area. Of coarse I was also greeted with some fantastic views.

Arriving at Bryce NP I took a small hike down amongst the hoodoos into the canyon.

The drive up the canyon rim provided many pullovers to view the magnificent scenery.

At the drives end is Rainbow Point at over 9100 feet elevation. It provides a stunning look back down the canyon.
