Ahoy! Mega Gardevoir has made its debut in Pokémon GO this week with the start of the valentine's event! It was to be expected, at the start of this season of wishes there were Salamence and Gardevoir in the center of the image. Mega Salamence already made its debut a little while ago so with the season coming to an end this month it makes sense Mega Gardevoir is also released.
During Raid Hour this week I decided to just use one Raid Pass for a Tapu Lele Raid and then use my other Raid Pass for a Mega Gardevoir Raid. This is because one had hatched nearby around the start of Raid Hour and therefor that Gym didn't have a Tapu Lele Raid. Luckily some in the community also didn't mind doing the Mega Raid and do one less Tapu Lele. Otherwise I would've just waited for the next day though so no problem.
From defeating the Raid I got 225 Gardevoir Mega Energy, which was enough to Mega Evolve Gardevoir as it requires 200 Energy for the first Mega Evolve.
Time to evolve my Lucky 100% IV Gardevoir into Mega Gardevoir! 😍
There we go, now I have Mega Gardevoir registered in my Mega Pokédex and now I can start walking around with Gardevoir (or any Pokémon in the family) to earn Mega Energy. Then I can work on getting Mega Gardevoir's Mega Level up.
In that photo you can see silhouettes for Mega Scizor, Sceptile, Blaziken and Swampert. I did those Mega Raids once but still have to evolve them. For Scizor I'm looking for a better one first, for the others I just haven't really been working on my Mega Pokémon that aren't Mega Level 3 yet recently. Still need to get Absol and Banette to Mega Level 3, so I just didn't start on those Hoenn Starters. I did however have to make this Mega Gardevoir asap!
Yesterday evening I noticed that when I typed "mega3" or "!mega3" in my Pokémon storage that this search result for including or excluding Mega Level 3 doesn't work anymore. I have a favourite search where those that have my "mega" tag and aren't Mega Level 3 yet will show up. I hope they fix that soon!
When I look at my Pokémon it shows Gardevoir Mega Energy. If I then check my Gallade, it doesn't show anything. So I think Mega Gallade will have its own Mega Energy, but won't know that for sure until it also makes its debut.
