When I became a mother everything changed. Physically, mentally, and emotionally. My priorities changed a lot. In the beginning, I found it very challenging to go but eventually with the help of my mother and with God's divine providence everything went smoothly.
Hello, hiveians! Greetings of love to all of you there. How are you mothers of this fantastic community? I hope everything is fine amidst what challenges you are facing right now. Always remember that Change is a permanent thing in this world, so everything is just passing by. Just deal with it with a positive outlook then as time goes on it will never feel you broke. For today's blog am gonna share with you how am I as a mother of two. A three-year-old toddler and a 2-month-old infant without my husband by my side. Oh, you might think it's very challenging. Exactly it is!
Just a short story to tell, during my first pregnancy my husband left us when my stomach was 3 months and the second one when my stomach was 1 month. He is working miles away from us for us to have a greener pasture. It was his nature of work since he was 24 years old. Although being in a long-distance relationship is hard constant communication and being an open-minded person are the keys to a better and more peaceful life.
Though he works away for us, he never lets me feel that I am alone in this motherhood journey. He was the one who suggested things accordingly. He was virtually hands-on with his kids. And when he came home he was the one taking care of our son way back then. I am always grateful to God for having a rolled into one husband like him.
It was last October 6, 2023, my daughter turned 1 month old. For a month of having a newborn in the house quite not-so-exhausting. It's just that I lack sleep due to feeding her every 2-3 hours. I need to wake up right there and then.
My daughter is very one of a kind then. She just sleeps and cries if she is hungry and her diaper is wet and the weird one is when she doesn't want to be carried. Therefore she just loves lying down there and exploring things on the ceiling.
A month of having a newborn equals a month of having a nursery student. Waah! Sometimes my mind is blown and confused as to what to do first. I turned between two lovers. I can't deny that sometimes there's someone who will sacrifice because of the other and obviously, it's the eldest, my son.
He bursts out at some point but I always keep on telling him that everything is changed and we have her sister with us. Things changed the way he used to be. He had tantrums and I am here patiently guiding his big feelings to deal with them according to what is right for him. I am thankful little by little he accepts and understands the changes we are experiencing as of this moment.
A month passes by and we're both adjusted to things we are facing. Aside from being hands-on with my daughter, I never failed to teach and guide my son in his lessons. I made sure that every day we had a one-on-one moment studying and talking about what was happening in his school. In fairness, my son was very excited when we had that time together.
In return during his long examination, he got high scores. Well, although my son is one of the youngest in his class he can do amazing things too! I am the proudest mother then.
Time flies so fast and last November 6, 2023, my daughter turned 2 months old. I can't imagine how I handled things accordingly but what is always on my mind, I will do everything for the welfare of my kids. No matter what I am willing and able to sacrifice then.
My son may get weary at some times but I know as time goes on he will understand our situation now. It's a challenge for me how I deal with that kind of feeling of him then. It somehow teaches me a lesson and that is to be patient and consistent in everything I do.
My life now evolves with these two bundles of joy. To whom I dedicated all of myself. I am currently on maternity leave which is why I was able to spend quality time with these two as much as I could. Time management is very important then. Well, as a strong momma of them, I accepted the challenge wholeheartedly and conquered my fears sincerely. To God be all the Glory!

The arrival of kids changes our lives significantly. Handling an infant is one task while handling the elder child is another challenge. It is the test of our patience and wisdom.
