The importance of the home cannot be overemphasized. The home is regarded by many as the bedrock of the society. The home is one of the institutions that attention must be given to. This is to be considered because when the home fails so fail the society, the church and the government.
We decry of bad governance almost every time and moral degradement often times in the society. This may be caused most probably by the failure of the home. Hence, the call for wisdom for parenting is timely for all parents out there. The following hints may help most likely for parenting in the home.
- We should avoid giving our children all the money they ask for.
They will grow up thinking that getting money is easy and will not hesitate to steal for it.
- We should avoid remaining indifferent to bad behavior that kids can display without scolding them for their bad behaviour.
They will grow up thinking that there are no rules in society.
- We should avoid laughing when our children speak insulting words.
They will grow up thinking that disrespect is entertainment.
- We should avoid letting kids watch any program on Tv.
They will grow up thinking that there is no difference between being a child and being an adult.
- We should always avoid putting ourselves on children' side when they are wrong against their neighbours, teachers, police.
They will grow up thinking that everything they do are right, it is the others who are wrong and they can always get away with everything.
- We should avoid leaving children alone at home when we go to the place of worship
Otherwise, they will grow up thinking that God does not exist.
- We should avoid picking up anything that our children mess up.
They will grow up believing that others must take responsibility for their mess.
If we want the society to be a better place, there is need to get rid of negativity and stay positive on parenting. Technology has advanced over the years. children should be cross-checked on the cyber space as well. Gone are the days, keeping children in the room means absolute restriction.
But today, a child kept in a room can relate abroad with a mobile phone in his or her hands. Let us strive to work on the home to better the church, the society and the government affairs. May our labour over our children not be in vain!

La degradez de la sociedad no es culpa solo del gobierno lo que si es que debe existir más capacitaciones a las familias, charlas continuas en cada etapa, mejor educación, actividades deportivas etc que existan herramientas para quienes económicamente no tenga.
