Last February 1st we celebrated my son @angardu’s 15th birthday, usually we don’t like to have birthday parties at home, we celebrate birthdays with a cake and going out with our children to a park or a restaurant, but this time it was 15 years and although we didn’t plan to have a big party we wanted it to be a special celebration that he wouldn’t forget, so we told Andrés that he could invite some of his friends, he is a very friendly boy and has many friends, so he had to choose well who his best friends were.

El pasado 01 de febrero celebramos los 15 años de mi hijo @angardu, generalmente no nos gusta hacer reuniones o fiestas de cumpleaños en casa, sino que celebramos los cumpleaños con una torta y saliendo con nuestros hijos de paseo a un parque o a algún restaurante, pero en esta ocasión son 15 años y aunque no pensábamos hacer una fiesta grande si queríamos que fuera una celebración especial que no olvidara, por lo que le dijimos a Andrés que podía invitar a algunos de sus amigos, él es un chico muy amigable y tiene muchos amigos, así que tuvo que elegir bien quienes era sus mejores amigos.
The first idea was to have a meeting after noon so that when was over we could take each guest home, since we do not live in a populated area. But that day began the final of the baseball championship and three of the guests belong to the team with my son and two are friends of the high school, so everything was left for when the game ended at about 5 pm, the good thing is that we brought directly to all guests and gave them permission to stay at home (except the girl, she if we went to take her when the party ended).
As entertainment for our teenage guests we had the ping pong table that I once shared with you that Andres had made. Well, the boys arrived and almost immediately started playing, they also listened to music and went out to play soccer in the backyard, while my husband and I served them with hot dogs, soda and snacks.
La primera idea era hacer una reunión después de medio día para que al terminar pudiéramos llevar a cada invitado a su casa, ya que nosotros no vivimos en una zona poblada. Pero ese día comenzó la final del campeonato de béisbol y tres de los invitados pertenecen al equipo con mi hijo y dos son amigos del liceo, así que todo quedó para cuando terminara el juego como a las 5 de la tarde, lo bueno es que nos trajimos directamente a todos los invitados y les dieron permiso de quedarse en la casa (menos a la chica, a ella si la fuimos a llevar cuando terminó la fiesta).
Como entretenimiento de nuestros invitados adolescentes teníamos la mesa de ping pong que en una ocasión les compartí que Andrés había realizado. Bueno, los muchachos llegaron y casi inmediatamente se pusieron a jugar, también escucharon música y salieron a jugar fútbol al patio, mientras mi esposo y yo los atendimos con perros calientes, refresco y snacks.
Our family here is quite small so we only invited my mother-in-law who always accompanies us in all celebrations and also loves Andres, you could say that he is the light of her eyes, also attended by his aunt, cousin and the younger cousins of the house. We enjoyed the music to the taste of the honoree (Regueton and all similar genres).
When it was time to sing happy birthday, first we took all the pictures with the guests and we even danced the waltz of Chayanne, I know it is customary to dance the waltz only in the 15 years of the girls, but times have changed for everything, so we wanted to dance it with Andres, it was a very emotional moment that prepares me for the 15 of my daughter in two years.
Nuestra familia aquí es bastante pequeña así que solo invitamos a mi suegra que siempre nos acompaña en todas las celebraciones y a demás adora a Andrés, se podría decir que es la luz de sus ojos, también asistieron su tía, primo y las primas más pequeñas de la casa. Disfrutamos de la música al gusto del homenajeado (Reguetón y todos los géneros parecidos).
Cuando llegó la hora de cantar el cumpleaños feliz, primero tomamos todas las fotografías con los invitados y hasta bailamos el vals de Chayanne, yo sé que es costumbre bailar el vals solo en los 15 años de las niñas, pero los tiempos han cambiado para todo, así que nosotros quisimos bailarlo con Andrés, fue un momento muy emotivo que me prepara para los 15 de mi hija dentro de dos años.
It was a very nice celebration that extended into a sleepover, because all the boys stayed over; they talked and laughed in the room until well into the wee hours of the morning. We as parents are happy to have been able to organize a birthday for our son with his friends as he wanted, in each one of the pictures Andres only spills happiness and that is all that fills us with happiness.
Fue una muy bonita celebración que se extendió hasta convertirse en una pijamada, por que todos los varones se quedaron a dormir; hablaron y rieron en la habitación hasta bien entrada la madrugada. Nosotros como padres estamos felices de haber podido organizarle a nuestro hijo un cumpleaños con sus amigos como el quería, en cada una de las fotografías Andrés solo derrama felicidad y eso es todo lo que nos llena de felicidad a nosotros.
Seguro Andrés disfruto mucho el día de su cumpleaños porque estuvo rodeado del amor de sus amigos y de ustedes que son su familia.
