A quick trip to the city-Buying essentials

in Motherhood23 days ago

Hello everyone. I'm not feeling my best today. I've caught a cold and can't seem to stop sneezing.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to take a quick trip into the city with my son while my daughter was out of school. I wanted to share a little bit about our little adventure.
We left for the city around 1:30 PM. As soon as we boarded the bus, it began to rain.
To begin, we needed to purchase another box of Vita Plus for our son. He had already finished the previous one.

To manage my asthmatic son's health, I regularly purchase two boxes of First Vita Plus. Each box contains 20 sachets, providing a 40-day supply. Budgeting for this is a necessity, as it's an essential part of his care regimen.
The original price of a box of The First Vita Plus is 955 pesos. However, I was able to get a 25% discount, even without being a member. This saved me 240 pesos per box.

We took a tricycle to Plaza Marcela, a store near the bus station that services our area, after buying First Vita Plus.

Upon reaching Plaza Marcela, we spotted a large Christmas tree. I asked my son to stand beside it so I could capture a photo of him with the festive backdrop.

We went to the grocery store after taking a picture of my son.

After grocery shopping, we went to Jollibee, my son's favorite fast-food restaurant. Due to budget constraints, I only ordered a burger and spaghetti to go. I explained to my son that we couldn't eat there because we needed to rush home. Instead, he would have his meal on the bus. Luckily my son is a big boy already and he agreed with
what I said. He joyfully carried his food to the bus station.

He settled into a comfortable seat on the bus and began to eat.
The bus arrived at the market, where I work, around 5 PM. This was just as the computer shop was closing for the day. The bus had left around 4 PM.
We rode our motorcycle home after finishing our work.
I unpack the groceries I purchased after arriving home.

The groceries I purchased cost a total of 1,555 pesos.

I always opt for the more economical choice. For instance, purchasing two 300-gram milk containers instead of a larger one saves me 15 pesos.

I prefer premium wipes over cheaper alternatives. While the initial cost is higher, the superior quality and thickness of premium wipes mean I use fewer, ultimately saving money in the long run. Cheaper wipes may seem like a bargain, but their thinness often necessitates using more, negating any potential savings.

I needed to buy a new night cream since I ran out of my previous one. Using night cream as part of my daily skincare routine is essential.I needed to restock my moisturizer since it was almost gone. I also picked up another bar of GT Carrot soap for my daughter; she uses it on her face to help with acne.
I also buy our everyday household essentials, such as laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, bath soap, Everclean blue soap, sponges, and metal pot scrubbers.

I bought soy sauce, oyster sauce, tomato ketchup, banana ketchup, noodles, and sotanghon.

I also purchased some plastic cellophane for food packaging.

Even though I'm on a diet and fasting, I couldn't resist getting my favorite Tikoy. I rarely go into the city and don't usually buy things for myself, but this was an exception.
