When our daughter's teacher announced the project for this week leading up to Carnival, we were a bit worried, because recently some of the homework my daughter has had requires a lot of our time and effort in supporting her, something difficult at this moment as we are loaded with work and responsibilities, but to our surprise, my daughter did almost the entire project by herself.
La máscara de carnaval hecha por nuestra hija - Una sorpresa creativa 🎭🥳
Cuando la maestra de nuestra hija anunció el proyecto para esta semana previa al carnaval, nos preocupamos un poco, debido a que recientemente algunas de las cosas que mi hija ha tenido de tarea, requieren mucho de nuestro tiempo y esfuerzo en su apoyo, algo difícil en este momento que estamos cargados de trabajos y responsabilidades, pero para nuestra sorpresa, el proyecto casi en su totalidad lo hizo sola mi hija.
Making a Carnival mask is a custom in our country at this time, with recycled material the children, in schools and homes, use their creativity to recreate their favorite character or one that is allusive to the season. Our daughter's teacher surprised us when she asked the children to bring old clothes that they could get dirty because they would be working in the classroom. Hacer una máscara de carnaval es una costumbre en nuestro pais en esta epoca, con material de provecho los niños, en las escuelas y casas, usan su creatividad para recrear a su personaje favorito o alguno que sea alusivo a la época. La maestra de nuestra hija nos sorprendió cuando pidió, que los niños llevaran ropa vieja que pudieran ensuciar porque trabajarían en el salon. Nuestra hija llego a casa con lo que sería la forma de la máscara hecha, solo faltaba la decoración.
My wife was about to paint it when my daughter stopped her and told her that she would do it, of course we supported her with the fear that she would make a mess, we put the paint and brushes at her disposal. She insisted that we let her work because in her mind she already knew how to decorate it, she painted it black so that the flowers would look better, according to her, which surprised me that somehow she thought about the contrast, or perhaps she had already discussed it with her teacher previously.
Mi esposa se disponía a pintarla cuando mi hija la detuvo y le dijo que ella lo haría, claro que le apoyamos con el temor que no hiciera un desastre, colocan a su disposición la pintura y los pinceles. Ella insistía que la dejáramos trabajar porque en su mente ya sabía cómo decorarla, la pinto de negro para que se vieran mejor las flores, según ella, lo cual me sorprendió que de alguna manera pensara en el contraste, o quizás ya lo había hablado con su maestra previamente.
She asked for our support to make the flower petals, she made some small circles and other larger ones alternating the colors. She asked for my support to make a square in the eye, something she had seen in one of her favorite cartoons, but it didn't turn out as I expected, however, in the end I convinced her that it looked good with the flowers that she finished painting.
Pidió nuestro apoyo para hacer los pétalos de las flores, ella hizo unos pequeños círculos y otros más grandes alternando los colores. Pidió apoyo de mi parte para hacer un cuadrado en el ojo, algo que había visto en una de sus comiquitas favoritas, pero no me quedo como esperaba, sin embargo, al final la convenci que se veía bien con las flores que ella termino que pintar.
She was happy with the result and proudly hung her mask next to her classmates' when she arrived at school this morning. They were left as a kind of exhibition, since the next day they will have the usual Carnival party, before going on vacation. This experience, although it seems simple, is an advance for our little one that excites us a lot, seeing her use her criteria to create was a gift for us.
Quedó contenta con el resultado y orgullosa colgó su máscara junto a la de sus compañeros al llegar este mañana al colegio. Quedaron como especie de exhibición, ya que al día siguiente tendrán la acostumbrada fiesta de carnaval, antes de irse de vacaciones. Esta experiencia aunque parezca sencilla, es un avance de nuestra pequeña que nos emociona mucho, verle usar su criterio para crear fue un regalo para nosotros.
