Es un agrado trae en esta oportunidad una experiencia recientemente vivida junto a mi familia, en la cual retomamos el contacto con la naturaleza, específicamente quiero mostrar en imágenes y texto una forma de aprovechar los momentos y motivar a nuestros hijos para que sientan compromiso en ayudar a conservar el medio ambiente natural del cual formamos parte.
No será una anécdota sobre un paseo turístico, y tampoco sobre viajes o aventuras extremas, se trata sobre una de muchas maneras de contribuir a la formación integral de nuestros descendientes ya que al compenetrarse con el entorno natural estos podrían desarrollar cierta responsabilidad con el cuidado del mismo.
Nuestra residencia principal se ubica en un pueblo no muy grande en el Estado Apure en Venezuela, por su población y nivel administrativo no llega a metrópolis, con escazas opciones de entretenimiento para la familia, pero aun así la modernidad ocupa un gran espacio de nuestro diario vivir, y aunque no hay relación de dependencia, viviendo en esta pequeña comunidad mis hijas de nueve y diez años han quedado enredadas en todo eso del internet y sus tentáculos, sumado al uso de dispositivos electrónicos y la televisión.

It will not be an anecdote about a tourist trip, nor about extreme trips or adventures, it is about one of many ways to contribute to the integral formation of our descendants, since when they get in touch with the natural environment they could develop a certain responsibility with the care of it.
Our main residence is located in a small town in the State of Apure in Venezuela, for its population and administrative level is not considered a metropolis, with few entertainment options for the family, but still modernity occupies a large space of our daily lives, and although there is no relationship of dependence, living in this small community my daughters of nine and ten years have also seen entangled in everything that is internet and its tentacles, coupled with the use of electronic devices and television.

Ha sido difícil mantener el equilibrio entre una realidad marcada por la obligación de convivir al ritmo de la modernidad y el resto del mundo natural circundante. Sin embargo al ser yo uno de los principales responsables de eso, he tomado consciencia y desde hace algún tiempo he tratado también de expandir el mundo de posibilidades promoviendo otras opciones para ellas tales como; llevar a cabo juegos lúdicos en familia y la interacción de ellas con el medio ambiente natural como opción de recreación para salir de la rutina diaria.
Es un reto doble, ya que mi deber personal con el cuidado de la naturaleza es reciente, apenas hoy día he comenzado a reconocer la importancia del mundo natural para la supervivencia humana, y pude avizorar para ellas un futuro complicado en caso que nuestros recursos naturales acaben. Así que puse interés y un poco de acción, anotando en la agenda conjunta de mis dos hijas algunas actividades que les permitan desarrollar un mayor compromiso hacia la fauna y la flora, y aprendan a disfrutar la maravilla de contemplar el alba y las puestas de sol que podemos disfrutar cada día.
It has been difficult to maintain the balance between a reality marked by the obligation to live at the pace of modernity and the environment of the natural world. However, aware of my responsibility, for some time now I have also tried to broaden the world of possibilities by promoting other options for my daughters, such as: family play and their interaction with the natural environment as a playful option to get out of the daily routine.
It is a double challenge, since my personal duty with the care of nature is recent, only today I have begun to recognize the importance of the natural world for human survival, and I could foresee for them a complicated future in case our natural resources end. So I put interest and a little action, noting in the joint agenda of my two daughters some activities that allow them to develop a greater commitment to the fauna and flora, and learn to enjoy the wonder of contemplating the sunrise and sunsets that we can enjoy every day.
Contacto con la fauna / Wildlife contact
Afortunadamente tengo ciertas ventajas que me ayudan en este esfuerzo; por un lado cuento con el apoyo de mi esposa, y en los primeros cuatro años de vida de mis niñas realizamos varias visitas a la finca de sus abuelos maternos, así que ahora solo debemos retomar el contacto con la naturaleza, no empezamos desde cero, mas bien ellas habían sentido la maravilla del aire puro, de los distintos sonidos de la fauna, los colores y texturas de la flora, el soplo de la brisa entre los grandes árboles, la picada de la abeja, el correr del río y la sensación de la tierra en sus manos y el olor del mastranto remojado por el rocío.
Por estos días recientes del mes de abril, por tradición venezolana contamos con una pausa laboral y de los compromisos escolares, así que aprovechamos la oportunidad para planificar otro reencuentro con la naturaleza, y después de varios meses volvimos a la finca de los abuelos, planificamos otra nueva visita familiar que nos llevó a dos días muy entretenidos y provechosos desde todo punto de vista, en especial logramos una agenda variada teniendo como centro la naturaleza en todo su potencial.
Fortunately I have certain advantages that help me in this endeavor; On the one hand I have the support of my wife, and in the first four years of life of my daughters we made several visits to the farm of their maternal grandparents, so now we just have to resume contact with nature, we did not start from scratch, rather they had already felt the wonder of fresh air, the different sounds of the fauna, the colors and textures of the flora, the breath of the breeze among the big trees, the sting of the bee, the running of the river and the sensation of the earth in their hands and the smell of the grass soaked by the dew.
For these recent days of April, by Venezuelan tradition we have a break from work and school commitments, so we took the opportunity to plan another reunion with nature, and after several months we returned to the grandparents' farm, we planned another new family visit that led us to two very entertaining and profitable days from every point of view, especially we achieved a varied agenda with nature in its full potential as the center.

Hemos querido mostrar en las distintas imágenes cada momento, a partir de la llegada caminando por un sendero, la navegación en canoa sobre el río en la puesta de sol más hermosa de toda la llanura, el contacto con las aves caseras y el ganado bovino y porcino, y el alba que pudimos disfrutar en su plenitud.
Pero lamentablemente no podemos mostrar el viento sobre el rostro, el calor cariñoso del sol a media mañana, el cantar de las aves durante todo el día, el olor del ganado en el corral, el despertar del gallo, y la tierra que se levantó sobre nuestros ojos y piel. No pudimos entregar más detalles por las delimitaciones tecnológicas, pero esperamos transmitir la idea de sensación y experiencia inolvidable de cada instante, en los cuales mis hijas aumentaron su amor hacia la naturaleza.
En resumen, nuestros esfuerzos para promover la conciencia ecológica en nuestros hijos nunca será en vano, cada iniciativa cuenta para ayudar un poco a conservar la vida en justo equilibrio, en buena medida nuestros herederos son y serán lo que nosotros como padres hagamos de ellos, así que podríamos aprovechar ese poder para que amen y cuiden el único planeta que tenemos, en especial para provecho de ellos y su descendencia.
We wanted to show in the different images every moment, from the arrival walking along a trail, the canoe trip on the river in the most beautiful sunset of the entire plain, the contact with domestic birds, cattle and pigs, and the beautiful sunrise that we could enjoy in its fullness.
But unfortunately we cannot show the wind on our faces, the loving warmth of the sun at mid-morning, the singing of the birds all day long, the smell of the cattle in the corral, the awakening of the rooster, and the earth that rose over our eyes and skin. We could not give more details due to technological delimitations, but we hope to transmit the idea of sensation and unforgettable experience of each instant, in which my daughters increased their love for nature.
In summary, our efforts to promote ecological awareness in our children will never be in vain, every initiative counts to help a little to preserve life in fair balance, to a large extent our heirs are and will be what we as parents make of them, so we could take advantage of that power to love and care for the only planet we have, especially for the benefit of them and their offspring.
