Blog #0004: A MOM'S LOVE FOR HIS SON

in Motherhood7 months ago (edited)

Hello to all the mothers out there! How are you all doing today? It's my first time posting here in this group. I know being a mom is a difficult job, whether you are a full-time mom or a working mom. Being a mom is a tough one. And I salute everyone of you here for raising the best children.

I just want to share with you my life experiences before and after I became a mom. So here it is. Before I entered motherhood, I was a career woman, working for a company in Taguig City as an accounting specialist. Living independently in the city and working there was a great experience. Not until I get pregnant and my life changes. I was happy and, at the same time, afraid that I could not pursue my career. Until the day came that my maternity leave started way back in the first week of March 2020.

It was a pandemic when I gave birth to my first child, way back in April 2020. Imagine how difficult it is to raise a child in a situation like that. Everyone couldn't go outside to buy food or anything they needed. Only workers can go outside because of the virus. So as a mom, I was afraid at that time because my husband was working and he might get infected outside. But thanks to God, he was never infected.

Living in a pandemic era with a new-born child is a difficult one, especially when no one is there to help you. I and my husband are the ones taking care of our son. And as a first-time mom, I don't know what to do. But because of my mom's advice through calls, I eventually learned and it became easy for me.

So go back to my career. Two weeks before my maternity leave ends, my manager calls me and says that he will promote me as an accounting supervisor as soon as I return. That day, I was so happy that, finally, after one year of working there, I would get a promotion. But, sad to say, after a week, when he called me, I informed him not to accept the offer and decided to resign. It's hard for me to do that because I worked hard to get that position. But when you become a mom, it will change everything. And I cannot take leaving my son in that kind of situation. So, to make a long story short, I became a full-time mom for 2 years. And I love and enjoy doing it every day, even if it is difficult.

So that's it for today's blog. I will share with you again my motherhood experience with my second child. Thank you, everyone!

hay sacrificios que valen la pena, algo mejor vendrá y el lograr estar con tu hijo todo este tiempo lo ha valido!
