Hoy se celebró en Venezuela el día del niño, y yo la verdad con experiencias en años anteriores preferí quedarme acá y buscar hacer algo en nuestra misma urbanización.
El día anterior había preguntando en la panadería donde tienen un máquina de helados si iban a trabajar el día de hoy, porque normalmente no trabajan los domingos.
Allí me confirmaron que si, entonces me planifiqué para llevar a mi hijo a comerse un helado en horas de la tarde. Él está dejando de ser un niño ya, este año cumple 12. Ya está finalizando su niñez.
Quise hacer algo especial junto a él como todos los años, por eso aunque no era algo súper grande, saldríamos de la rutina y pasaríamos un rato juntos agradable.

Today was celebrated in Venezuela the day of the child, and I the truth with experiences in previous years I preferred to stay here and look to do something in our same urbanization.
The day before I had asked at the bakery where they have an ice cream machine if they were going to work today, because they normally do not work on Sundays.
There they confirmed that they were, so I planned to take my son for an ice cream in the afternoon. He is not a little boy anymore, he will be 12 this year, he is finishing his childhood.
I wanted to do something special with him like every year, so even though it was not something super big, we would get out of the routine and spend a nice time together.
Salimos de casa casi a las 6 de la tarde. No sé veían casi personas en la calle y me pareció súper raro, pero ya luego avanzando me di cuenta del motivo.
Es que en varias de las calles habían celebraciones del día del niño. Habían inflables y en ellos varios niños brincando y divirtiéndose.
Cuando llegamos a la panadería también notamos que había uno, algo muy diferente a lo acostumbrado por cierto.
We left home almost at 6 pm. I saw almost no people on the street and it seemed very strange to me, but later on I realized why.
There were children's day celebrations in several of the streets. There were inflatables and in them several children jumping and having fun.
When we arrived at the bakery we also noticed that there was one, something very different from the usual by the way.
Pregunté el precio de las barquillas y en eso me comentaron que tenían un combo para que a mi hijo le pintaran la cara y pudiera entrar al inflable.
La verdad no me pareció lógico optar por esta opción porque a mí hijo no le agradaba mucho la idea de pintar su cara y además estaba algo grande para este inflable. Terminé comprando dos barquillas, una para cada uno.
I asked about the price of the nacelles and they told me that they had a combo for my son to have his face painted so he could enter the inflatable.
The truth is that it didn't seem logical to me to opt for this option because my son didn't like the idea of having his face painted and he was a little big for this inflatable. I ended up buying two baskets, one for each of us.
Luego que nos entregaron los helados, hicimos el tipo brindis y ya luego nos colocamos en un rinconcito a disfrutarlos y ver a los niños brincar en el inflable.
After the ice cream was delivered, we made a toast and then we sat in a little corner to enjoy it and watch the children jump on the inflatable.
De ahí nos fuimos a la segunda tienda que habíamos visto con una fiesta a ver qué había de bueno y ver a los pequeños saltando en el castillo inflable.
Para la mala suerte cuando llegamos ya lo estaban guardando pero estaban repartiendo cotufas (palomitas de maíz) gratis. P
Mi hijo se puso a hacer fila para que le dieran una bolsita. Pasados los minutos obtuvo su porción y nos fuimos fuera de la tienda a pasar el rato.
From there we went to the second tent we had seen with a party to see what was good and to see the little ones jumping on the bouncy castle.
To our bad luck when we arrived they were already putting it away but they were handing out free cotufas (popcorn). P
My son stood in line to get a bag of popcorn. After a few minutes he got his portion and we went outside the store to hang out.
En esta tienda a diferencia de la panadería estaban ofreciendo cosas gratis como las cotufas, pintacaritas y unas tortas que iban a picar en pocos minutos y por las cuales nos invitaron a esperar.
Mi hijo estaba haciendo la fila y yo mientras veía a los niños jugar.
In this store, unlike the bakery, they were offering free things like cotufas, pintacaritas and some cakes that were going to be available in a few minutes and for which we were invited to wait.
My son was waiting in line and I while watching the kids play.
En cuestión de segundos el clima cambió y comenzó a hacer un viento terrible lleno de muchas arena. Todos los niños se cubrían y algunos se fueron a sus casas porque amenazaba con llover.
Nosotros nos esperamos un poquito más y ya comenzaron a entregar las porciones de pastel.
In a matter of seconds the weather changed and a terrible wind filled with lots of sand began to blow. All the children were covered and some went home because it was threatening to rain.
We waited a little longer and they started handing out the cake slices.
Cómo a mi también me dió miedo de que nos fuéramos a mojar con la lluvia, decidimos irnos apenas nos entregaron el pastel.
De camino en la otra calle había el primer inflable que ví al salir de casa y me daba mucha curiosidad porque este también estaba fuera de lo común.
Me acerqué un momento y pudimos ver a detalle que tenía en su interior como obstáculos. Se veía súper genial.
En eso sentimos algunas gotas de lluvia y ahí si no lo pensamos dos veces y emprendimos el rumbo a casa.
Since I was also afraid that we were going to get wet in the rain, we decided to leave as soon as the cake was delivered.
On the way across the street there was the first inflatable that I saw when I left home and I was very curious because this one was also out of the ordinary.
I approached it for a moment and we could see in detail what it had inside as obstacles. It looked super cool.
Then we felt some raindrops and then we didn't think twice and headed home.
La pasamos súper genial, a pesar de que no fue una salida tan larga mi hijo disfrutó mucho el helado y los dulces que le dieron.
También nos divertimos con varias cosas que vimos mientras estábamos frente a los inflables. Todo era súper chistoso. 😂
Fue un buen día del niño, con mi hijo que ya está dejando de serlo. Muchos sentimientos encontrados y nos quedamos con estos bonitos recuerdos. 💜
We had a super great time, even though it wasn't such a long outing my son really enjoyed the ice cream and candy they gave him.
We also had fun with various things we saw while we were in front of the inflatables. Everything was super funny. 😂
It was a good kid's day, with my son who is now growing out of it. Lots of mixed feelings and we are left with these nice memories. 💜
