My second son is 3 months old today, and one thing about babies is the older they get the more they blend with the ecosystem of the environment.
When he was 1-2 weeks old, practically I always covered him with a blanket and wore his baby cap to cover his head, because the baby's skull is still very soft just to prevent air from entering through the head…..if that even made sense.
I always made sure all fans and windows were closed up so as not to give him a cold or flu. At that time his vision was blurry and he could communicate with either scent or cry.
All he really wanted to feel at that particular point is anything that can make him warm or hot.
Mi segundo hijo cumple hoy 3 meses, y una cosa que tienen los bebés es que cuanto más crecen más se mimetizan con el ecosistema del entorno.Cuando tenía 1-2 semanas, prácticamente siempre le tapaba con una manta y le ponía el gorrito para cubrirle la cabeza, porque el cráneo del bebé todavía es muy blando, para evitar que entrara aire por la cabeza....., si es que eso tiene sentido.
Siempre me aseguraba de que todos los ventiladores y ventanas estuvieran cerrados para no contagiarle un resfriado o la gripe. En aquella época su visión era borrosa y podía comunicarse con el olor o el llanto.
Lo único que quería sentir en ese momento era cualquier cosa que le diera calor.
When he was between 2-3 months old I noticed he barely slept, especially in the hot afternoon. One day I was frustrated with the whole crying. I decided to try something out , I switched on the fan and observed he slept for a long time. Oh i get it; he knows how to feel cool, and refresh ok maybe his skin is adjusting to the environment and weather condition .
So maybe his pores are closing up, isn't it too early for that?. But that doesn't stop me from giving him his hot bath routine morning and night though.
Since I noticed he loves the fan more than feeling hot, I tend to switch it on only when the weather is hot.

Decidí probar algo, encendí el ventilador y observé que dormía durante mucho tiempo. Oh, ya lo entiendo, sabe como sentirse fresco y refrescarse, tal vez su piel se está adaptando al entorno y a las condiciones climáticas.Así que tal vez sus poros se están cerrando, ¿no es demasiado pronto para eso? Pero eso no me impide darle su baño caliente por la mañana y por la noche.
Como me he dado cuenta de que le gusta más el ventilador que sentir calor, tiendo a encenderlo sólo cuando hace calor.
I bought this rechargeable fan 3 years ago before I gave birth to my first son. And I am surprised it's still working perfectly with electricity.
Compré este ventilador recargable hace 3 años, antes de dar a luz a mi primer hijo. Y me sorprende que siga funcionando perfectamente con electricidad.
It has a battery where I can power it when there is a low power outage but for now the battery is bad and I tend to replace it soon or better still I might just get a 20 watts solar to power up the fan during the afternoon.
Tiene una batería donde puedo alimentarlo cuando hay un corte de energía baja, pero por ahora la batería está mal y tiendo a reemplazarlo pronto o mejor aún podría conseguir un 20 vatios solar para alimentar el ventilador durante la tarde.
For now I think I'll just stick with powering up the fan when the power is up. Since he is barely 6 months old it won't be a good idea to always place him on the fan.
Aside from the fact that his body system has changed, his feeding habit has also changed a lot. I think maybe his stomach has expanded to a certain point where he consumes more milk. His vision is very sharp now and he tends to follow my movements whenever I enter the room with his big shining eyes.
Por ahora creo que me limitaré a encender el ventilador cuando haya corriente. Como apenas tiene 6 meses no será buena idea ponerlo siempre sobre el ventilador.Aparte de que su sistema corporal ha cambiado, su hábito de alimentación también ha cambiado mucho. Creo que su estómago se ha expandido hasta un punto en el que consume más leche. Ahora tiene la vista muy aguda y tiende a seguir mis movimientos cada vez que entro en la habitación con sus grandes ojos brillantes.
Well I guess children change every time, they expand and blend with the weather conditions. But the fact is we mothers and fathers just need to get ready for such change, mend them if necessary and deal with them when needed.
Have you had any experience on how the house temperature is being regulated based on the weather condition on babies? I would love to know how you go about it. It might be any babies, yours, or someone else.
Bueno, supongo que los niños cambian cada vez, se expanden y se mezclan con las condiciones climáticas. Pero lo cierto es que nosotros, madres y padres, sólo tenemos que prepararnos para esos cambios, remediarlos si es necesario y afrontarlos cuando haga falta.
¿Has tenido alguna experiencia sobre cómo se regula la temperatura de la casa en función de las condiciones meteorológicas de los bebés? Me encantaría saber cómo lo hacéis. Puede tratarse de cualquier bebé, del tuyo o de otro.
