A mother's Concern:My Son's Speech Delay .

in Motherhood4 months ago

It was a chilly day, rain tapping insistently against the windowpane. My plans were set: a delivery to make and a hair appointment to keep. The weather wouldn't deter me.

At 12:35 PM, I hurried to pick up my son from school. My hairstylist paused her work as I dashed out. There he was, my little boy, waiting with a subdued smile. Unusually quiet, he didn't bounce around as usual. Perhaps he was tired.

I scooped him up, wrapping him securely on my back. But then I noticed it—the swollen bump on his forehead.
I Panic. What had happened? I wanted to storm back to the school, confront his teacher, but I held back.

My husband tried calling the teacher, but no response. It was 8:54 PM and she didn't return the call and my son's pain tugged at my heart. He couldn't tell me what happened; he is just two years old, still learning to speak.

****Dear fellow mothers, how could I help him develop his speech? His baby sounds aren't enough.***
