It is such a memory for me as my Sonshine turns another year. All I feel is a mix of joy and sorrow. The joys of motherhood knows no bounds but the accompanying sorrow of the knowledge that two of his grandparents who were really fond of him are no more 😭.
The memories of the body changes I experienced, the exercise of walking around the then neighbourhood in the morning and evenings with hubby to keep fit and all the things I wanted to eat but couldn't because I had another human right inside my womb. You can see one of his first ever pic taken by hubby when he was fresh from the oven of the hospital's theatre.
These memories are just something else. Watching him grow over time despite the serious health challenge he faced before his first birthday, that saw him sick for several weeks and the mental breakdown I had thinking we were going to loose him at some point. 😭 Seriously a path I dread crossing again.
I can't help but be thankful for all the care and supports we have received from different individuals even right here on Hive. The love has been massive, and I can say that love I truly without territorial boundaries. The fun moments I had toying with his hair because he was so full of hairs like a woman.
The memory of going to the photo studio with him in preparation of our first wedding anniversary, when he was just some weeks old.
The memory of getting scared sometimes to look at the mirror because the person I was seeing closed to my Due date looked different from what I know my face as. 😄.
The joy of seeing my Sonshine turn 3 against all odds and still kicking is just much.

In all, I will say I'm really short of words to express myself. Looking back, all I can say is that it has not been a smooth sail but God has kept our ship afloat. Thank you everyone for your care.
