A cordial greeting to my dear friends, God bless you all greatly, today I will tell you about a great activity that we did several days ago in the Children's Center, which was called La Guajira dresses Wayuu, this activity was organized by all teachers and we had the pleasant visit of the Secretary of Education and the Director of the House of Culture.
It was a very important and enjoyable activity for our children as well as for us teachers.
What we used!
As everything was allusive to our guajira it was very easy for us to adapt the space, initially we dressed in colorful guajira blankets and attire such as hats, necklaces, backpacks, we also organized a wood fire, a cauldron and a clay pot, jars,Chinchorros.
We also dressed several children with attire of our guajira, we gave them a demonstration of how the backpacks are woven, here in this picture you can see how our beautiful indigenous people are placed in the first one in Riohacha la Guajira to sell our crafts.
The body makeup that our Wayuu have reflected on their faces is to express a connection with their ancestors and symbols to imitate nature in the use of animal figures. It is a means of communication that they have, besides using it in rituals, dances or traditional festivities.
