I am a working mom and my weekend is really important for me as it is the longest time of the week that I can spend time with my daughters and clean the house but this Sunday is different.
Unplanned Short-Trip
Sunday Morning- My husband and my 1st child went to our old house to feed the animals and attend the church near it- it's a 15 min. motorcycle ride from where we are currently staying to our old house. My little daughter and I also prepared for our Sunday service which was the opposite direction of where my husband is going.
While on our way going to the Church, I thought about bringing Nova to somewhere new since I'll be gone for a few days due to work. So after the Sunday Service, we went straight to Rosario, La Union. The place where I spent my Highschool days.
I was planning to go to the Plaza where the swings and slides are but when we reached it, some teenagers were playing and the sun directly hits the playground so I decided to go to the Grocery and buy Nova a pair of shoes.

Walking Down the Memory Lane
It was sunny but we didn't mind it at all. Nova loves walking and looking around. As we walked through Rosario, It felt like I was walking down my memory lane. I remembered how it was before the Market fire...I remembered my highschool days where Mom had her mini Grocery...I remembered my Highschool days. It was because of my mom that I made it through that difficult stage of life. I am praying to be a good mom just like her.
I wish she would still hold my hand when she grows up

Her New Shoes
Looking at the selection of shoes, I asked Nova to choose whatever design she wants. The shoe selection was filled with white and pink shoes. Nova chose the pink dollshoes sith a ribbon on the side. When I made her try it, her face showed how she wanted it and good thing that the shoe fits her tiny toes.
I let her experience waiting in line and giving her item to the cashier as well as paying for it. She was so happy with what she bought. ❤️

Watermelons!
Like me, Nova also love to eat watermelon but what's funny is that she calls it "cocomelon" just like the animated show for kids. We went to Rosario's Public Market and as soon as she saw the watermelons, she repeatedly asked me to buy one and so we did. I wasn't able to take a snap while we were buying but I cans till remember the look in her eyes while smiling and saying "Cocomelon, cocomelon!" The watermelon was heavy but her excitement made it as light as a cotton. 😁
Tricycle Moments
After buying her shoes, we rode the trycicle to bring us to where we would get our lunch. The tricycle we rode has a paper bag that resembles the paper bag of her shoes. It was so funny for when we were going out, she pulled out the paper bag. The trycicle driver and I laughed and told her that it wasn't hers. it's a good thing that manong driver was cool with it. 😎

Playtime
After strolling on the public market, we rode a tricycle going to one of Rosario's fastfood. I chose this particular fastfood since I know they have a play area. I ordered food for us and waited for the nearest table near the play area to be vacated. I don't want to sit far from her while she is playing. She is still two years old and supervision is a must. When the seat I was aiming for was emptied, we went, placed our things and cleared up the table. She asked me if she can already play and so she did. ☺️

Goodbye Rosario
After playtime and lunch time, we waited for a bus just in front of
where we ate.
We were so blessed that we didn't wait for too long. The bus came and the conductor even assisted us with our heavy ✨ watermelon ✨
She looked outside the window and after sometime, she fell asleep and I carried her till we arrived home 🏡.

Yeeey! We arrived home safely!
And that concludes our short escape on a weekend! Thank you so much for taking your time. I hope you had fun reading. GOD BLESS and see you on our next adventure ☺️.
