Hello everyone, just want to share a few thoughts with you. I believe this subject is familiar and many of you can relate to it.
. I remember some years ago when I still wondered what motherhood and child bearing was like. The only thing I always heard is that the pain is very intense. I could only imagine that for a human being to emerge from a nother human being, given the size of a baby and the size of a lady's outlet then it should really be painful.
I still can not forget my coursemate who was married and had a baby. How we young ladies sorrounded her bombarding her with questions of how dilivery felt. She simply looked at us and said.,' All I can say is when you have passed through child bearing, you will have more respect for your mother.' That statement never left my mind.
The first time I went through the nine months journey I imagined how that Dee day would be. But I held on to God and never let fear take over.. I passed through the pains not because I posses so much physical strenght but because God helped me through. Also there's nothing you set your mind to, that you can not achieve.
Today after all those years I am a mother of three children and I have more respect for my mother. Like
my coursemate said. Now I completely understand many things my mother did that I did not know were for my good. I had to experience motherhood myself to understand her. Now I find myself explaining her point of view to my younger ones.
Hey Mom's out there, you all deserve so much respect. So keep doing what you do because one day your children will completely understand you.
