Feliz día amigos de #motherhood. Hoy en Venezuela se celebra el día de las madres y aunque soy de las que piensa que no necesitamos una fecha especial para homenajear a ese ser tan especial que nos dió la vida, aprovecho para reconocer la labor inigualable que realizamos día a día. Ser madre es un desafío constante, un contínuo aprendizaje que nos permite mejorar y crecer como seres humanos. Estamos lejos de la perfección, sin embargo desde el amor hacemos en mayor de los esfuerzos por darle a nuestros hijos las herramientas necesarias para que sean adultos capaces y eso es lo que realmente cuenta. Mientras tengamos vida y salud la labor de madre no acaba, por eso y muchas razones más mi mayor reconocimiento y admiración a todas las mamis de esta comunidad.
Happy #motherhood day friends. Today in Venezuela we celebrate Mother's Day and although I am one of those who think that we do not need a special date to honor that special being who gave us life, I take this opportunity to recognize the unparalleled work we do every day. Being a mother is a constant challenge, a continuous learning process that allows us to improve and grow as human beings. We are far from perfection, however, from love we make the greatest effort to give our children the necessary tools to become capable adults and that is what really counts. As long as we have life and health the work of a mother does not end, for that and many more reasons my greatest recognition and admiration to all the moms of this community.
En este mes de las madres aquí las celebraciones abundan por todas partes. Una de las más emotivas para mí siempre ha sido la que las maestras preparan en la escuela. Este año solo en el grado de José se organizaron para tal fin, pues las maestras de Mariana estaban sumadas a las actividades de protesta por un mejor salario y no tuvieron tiempo para convocar a las mamás.
In this month of mothers here, celebrations abound everywhere. One of the most emotional for me has always been the one the teachers prepare at school. This year only José's grade was organized for this purpose, because Mariana's teachers were involved in protest activities for a better salary and did not have time to call the mothers.
Para poder cubrir los gastos de la celebración pidieron una colaboración monetaria a las madres, también una cartulina y globos rosados y blancos. La cita fue para el jueves 11 del presente mes a las 9 am, a mi se me hizo un poco tarde y llegué cerca de las 10 am, así que José me recibió un poco ansioso porque ya los demás niños estaban con sus mamás. Todo estaba muy organizado empezando por un lindo espacio preparado para que tuviéramos de recuerdo lindas fotografías.
In order to cover the expenses of the celebration they asked for a monetary contribution from the mothers, as well as a poster board and pink and white balloons. The appointment was for Thursday the 11th of this month at 9 am, I was a little late and arrived around 10 am, so Jose received me a little anxious because the other children were already with their mothers. Everything was very organized starting with a nice space prepared for us to have nice pictures as a souvenir.
El encuentro transcurrió entre pasapalos, torta, bebidas y algunas actividades como poesías y cantos. A José Guillermo le tocó declamar una de las poesías, pero cuando le llegó su turno se puso muy nervioso y no pudo hablar, así que la maestra lo dejó para el final y le permitió leerla, con la intención de que estuviera más calmado. Cuando terminó caminó hasta donde me encontraba, me dió un abrazo y me preguntó si lo había hecho bien, obviamente le dije que si, nuestra aprobación para ellos siempre es importante y los motiva a esforzarse y mejorar en cualquier aspecto de su vida.
The meeting took place between snacks, cake, drinks and some activities such as poetry and songs. It was José Guillermo's turn to declaim one of the poems, but when it was his turn he got very nervous and could not speak, so the teacher left it for the end and allowed him to read it, with the intention of calming him down. When he finished he walked to where I was, gave me a hug and asked me if I had done well, obviously I said yes, our approval for them is always important and motivates them to strive and improve in any aspect of their lives.
Todo el grupo de niños interpretó la canción Como te Pago de Lenier Mesa, estuvo muy bonito el número, pero sinceramente no me gusta mucho el estilo de la canción así que hubiese preferido que es escogieran otro tema🙈. Fue difícil lograr una buena foto de ese momento, porque los niños estaban inquietos y acalorados.
The whole group of children interpreted the song Como te Pago by Lenier Mesa, it was a very nice number, but honestly I don't like the style of the song so I would have preferred that they chose another theme🙈. It was difficult to get a good picture of that moment, because the children were restless and heated.
El esfuerzo realizado por las maestras dió sus frutos, las mamás quedaron satisfechas con todo lo preparado y los niños estaban felices de agasajar a sus madres. Al momento de picar la torta José me pidió una foto junto a sus maestras, él las quiere mucho y sin dudas ellas también merecen toda mi admiración y respeto, pues cumplen un papel vital en la educación y formación académica de nuestros hijos. No veo fácil la tarea de atender diariamente a 40 niños, sin embargo ellas son mujeres dotadas con la capacidad y sabiduría para realizar tan noble labor.
The effort made by the teachers paid off, the moms were satisfied with everything prepared and the children were happy to celebrate their mothers. At the moment of cutting the cake José asked me for a photo with his teachers, he loves them very much and without a doubt they also deserve all my admiration and respect, because they play a vital role in the education and academic formation of our children. It is not an easy task to take care of 40 children daily, however they are women gifted with the capacity and wisdom to perform such a noble task.
Finalmente recibimos de parte de nuestros niños un detalle que prepararon con la ayuda de sus maestras, una linda tarjeta de felicitación con un emotivo mensaje y unos aretes.
Finally we received from our children a gift that they prepared with the help of their teachers, a beautiful greeting card with a touching message and some earrings.
Antes de retirarnos aproveché el espacio y le pedí a José que buscara a su hermana para tomarnos una foto, ellos son mi inspiración, mis compañeros de aventuras, uno de los motivos por los que me mantengo de pie a pesar de las adversidades. Agradecida estaré eternamente por la dicha de ser su madre, su guía, la luz que ilumina su camino.
Before leaving, I took advantage of the space and asked José to look for his sister to take a picture of us, they are my inspiration, my companions in my adventures, one of the reasons why I keep standing up despite adversity. I will be eternally grateful for the joy of being their mother, their guide, the light that illuminates their path.
Se que aún me falta mucho por recorrer, que hay cosas que puedo mejorar como mamá, por eso vivo cada día dispuesta a sacar provecho de cada vivencia y por supuesto a APRENDER.
I know that I still have a long way to go, that there are things I can improve as a mom, so I live every day ready to take advantage of every experience and of course to LEARN.
