My believing mother

in Motherhood4 days ago

Greetings!

One thing about a mother, or let me say a good mother is her love for her child or children. No wonder someone said it that the only person that can love a you better than herself is your mother. It's your mother that will want you to succeed more than herself. But when it come to others, they may not really be sincere about your progress in life, but a mother would do. May be this is as a result of the cord that binds both the mother and the child together right from conception. The umbilical cord.
Also, a mother is someone that when all other persons are giving up on you, she will remain and stand like a wall of Gibraltar behind her child. This is like a popular saying which says," it will not be worst for a person that it would not have a person left with him or her." This means, when a person is being deserted, there would remain a person that will stand with the deserted person and that's is the "MOTHER." No wonder the mother is referred to as the :GOLD" in my local area.

Going by the above narration about whom a good must is or should be, I would like to say I have a good mother and that my mother was a good mother, though dead, but her legacies still lives on.
Talking about a mother not giving up on a child, I am a typical and a highest beneficiary of a mother who would not give up on her child or children. My mum was so good to me that when other deserted me or lost faith in my ability to write and pass my wassce examination back then, she would always rally round me and encourage me with the word THAT" YOU CAN DO IT." So, this her world of encouragement and her plight whenever I failed my waec exam really encouraged me to prepare well and passed the exam at the long run.

I started writing wassce exam in the year 2008, that was the first time I sat for the waec private exam and lol and behold, I failed the exam, after which my mum obtained another exam for me at my school, this time it was not a private one, but the general waec exam, which I did with alot of confidence and expectation but later failed when the result was out, this act of failure did not go down well with my parents especially my dad who said he would not obtain any other exam for me again. Though, the samething with my mother, she wasn't happy with my failure, but she would not give up on me.
So, afterwards, I sat and wrote up to like 7 wasscr examination before I passed the last one, which I am now using, but the sad story was that, the last exam obtained for me by my mum was the one i passed and that was her last contribution to my life and academic pursuits before lost her in the year 2011. Though she was no more, but her legacies live on in my life.

The most amazing thing is that I that knew nothing, graduated with a first class honour five years ago and just last month , my younger sister graduated from the university with the same class . All these can be attributed to God and to the unrelented efforts of our virtuous mother.

Hmmm! My mum is a woman of virtue and honor and she would not relent in her quest to make me happy and support me to the end. No wonder in one of her discussion that she promised me to see me through the thick and thins of this life, but what a pity, she could not wait to fulfill her promise as I lost her to the cold hand of death. Live on Momma. I love you.

Thanks for reading.

She is a wonderful woman. Your sis is also good-looking. Take care of your mother.

Yes friend

That's right, a mother will never be envious of her children's achievements, on the contrary, she will be very happy when her children succeed even above her.
