Help! mamas

Can I please ask for your advice?

This might seem like a silly thing for you.. but to me, right now, it's a big deal.

Help!?

I live in a super cold climate, and it's only about to get colder... and one of my little ones is a year and half.

It is so hard and frustrating to get outside to the point where I just don't want to do it... and it's becoming that way more often.

One of my high values is nature, and I've always gotten them outside every day (well maybe with the exception of crazy weather) but lately... oh... I've just let it slide.

My question is... is this terrible, that I'm not getting them outside everyday?
IS this bordering on child abuse? (because I'm keeping them indoors a lot?)

I know how good it is to get outside, I just have no desire to go thru the screaming and then pulling off hats and mitts all the time only to get freezing right away after all the work to get out...

I'm worried they won't be as healthy as they can be if I stay indoors too long.

Any ideas / support / feedback appreciated.

Thanks mamas

hi there mamma!

I think you could do some awesome indoor activities that will enrich their lives as much as going out, and besides is not like you are planning on keeping them inside all the time just while the weather is too cold to go out, you could also try and find places where you could take them that is "out of the house" but not in the outside like malls or indoor parks this way they get to get out of the house but you wont have to deal with the cold.

Remember as much as their needs are important yours are too and if going out will make you stress out too much that will affect your mental health you should just don't do it, also make the dad or another care giver who you could ask for help take this tasks into their hands.
