At first, I thought being a mother would be wonderful, being a wife would be fulfilling. They say it’s only wonderful in the beginning... only in the beginning.

I used to say that when I had a child, I would raise them to be respectful, kind, obedient, and above all, God-fearing. But no matter what you do, you can’t guarantee that someone will learn what you want them to, especially when they have their own desires in life.

I see other families, and it seems like they have the perfect life because their children are respectful, obedient to their parents, and polite. They have hardworking and loving spouses. But, even in the most perfect lives, we all have hidden struggles.
All I really want is to be happy in life and live comfortably. I don’t wish for extreme happiness or wealth; I just want to be able to say I am content.

I wish I hadn’t dreamed of having a family, of building a family. I wish there was a way to turn back time to when I was still dreaming and could already see the outcome of my dreams.
