Quien no recuerda sus días en el colegio, compañeritos de clases, maestras, juegos... muchas de las primeras interacciones sociales con otros de nuestra edad fuera de casa. Personalmente durante mi infancia asistí a muchos colegios, mis padres estaban separados y constantemente me estaba mudando o simplemente viviendo un tiempo con mi mamá y luego con mi papá y así constantemente durante varios años. Ahora como madre comprendo la importancia de mantener una estabilidad ya que esos cambios tan seguido siempre afectaban de un modo u otro mi rendimiento académico, los primeros años de escuela era bastante retraída hablaba muy poco no compartia mucho con los demas niños, esto en parte a que siempre era la niña nueva que no conocía a nadie.
La escolarización forma parte importante de nuestras vidas ya que desde una edad muy temprana comenzamos a asistir a los centros de enseñanza entre los 3 y 4 años de edad al preescolar, en oportunidades incluso a los 2 años en los maternales que dan inicio a esos primeros pasos en la socialización.
Por esto hoy les comparto algunas cosas que he aprendido como hija, alumna y madre, aspectos que debemos tener en cuanta al momento de escoger una institución educativa para nuestros hijos, llámese maternal, preescolar, colegio, escuela, liceo y me atrevería a decir que algunas aplican incluso hasta a la búsqueda de Universidad. Se que hay muchos otros aspectos a tener en cuenta sin embargo estos me parecieron los más relevantes.
Ubicación: ¿Es de fácil acceso? ¿A que distancia esta de la casa o el trabajo? ¿Como es el transporte en la zona? ¿Tendremos que madrugar demasiado? ¿Tiene una opción de transporte escolar? ¿Llegaremos a la hora indicada tanto a la entrada como para buscarlos a la salida?
Infraestructura: ¿Los salones de clases tienen un tamaño adecuado para la cantidad de alumnos? ¿Cuentan con buena iluminación? ¿Tienen espacios adecuados para la recreación, comedores, tiempo de siesta? ¿Estan estos espacio en condiciones óptimas? Pidamos conocer las instalaciones con confianza.
Filosofía: ¿Conozco los valores y principios de la institución y estoy de acuerdo con ellos? ¿Van acorde con lo que practicamos en casa? Por ejemplo algunas instituciones dan clases de Religión. Cuando estudiaba el sexto grado me paso que mis compañeros y maestros me veían como bicho raro porque no entraba en las clases de catecismo (ya que no soy católica). Indicar cuáles son nuestras creencias y que puedan ser respetadas es para mi un factor muy importante.
Confianza: ¿Te generan confianza los profesionales encargados de dirigir la institución y docentes que enseñan ahí? ¿Tienes conocidos que te la puedan recomendar?
Privada o pública: ¿Se ajusta el costo a la economía familiar? ¿Podrás con el costo mensual o será más bien un dolor de cabeza a la hora de hacer los pagos? ¿La matrícula incluye el costo del uniforme? Algunas instituciones usan uniformes personalizados lo cual puede incrementar el costo. Las instituciones públicas en cambio son una opción gratuita que puede aliviar gastos, recordando que siempre están los gastos de útiles escolares, transporte, merienda, uniformes... en este punto también me gustaría acotar que en los colegios privados también debemos prever que a mediados de año pueden haber aumentos en los montos de las mensualidades.
Evaluar varias opciones: tener varias opciones es esencial al momento de hacer comparaciónes para esto también debemos buscar con anticipación, conocer los periodos escolares y en que tiempo comienzan las inscripciones.
Ciertamente no es una tarea sencilla, requiere de investigación, deseo de buscar lo mejor para nosotros como padres en nuestras posibilidades y que nuestros hijos se puedan sentir en un ambiente comodo.
Pensemos como se sentirán nuestros hijos ahí, preguntemos a ellos que tal les parece su nueva escuela, hablemos de los aspectos positivos, preparamos el terreno para su inicio en este nuevo lugar con nuevas personas. Algo que a mi me a funcionado con Moi (es mi hijo mayor tiene 5 años) es hablarle de la labor de sus maestras que ellas han estudiado para dar clases y ayudarle, al principio del segundo nivel de preescolar nació su hermanito y fue un poco difícil para él el inicio de las clases con las nuevas maestras pero poco a poco hablándole de que ellas le darían mucho cariño también se empezó a quedar más tranquilo en la escuela.
Debemos tener presente que no encontraremos la institución perfecta (y si la entramos tal vez sea muy costosa) . Siempre existirá la posibilidad de encontrar un buen lugar y esforzarnos por establecer bases sólidas en casa enseñando a nuestros hijos principios correctos que les ayudarán en cualquier lugar.

Now as a mother I understand the importance of maintaining stability since those changes so often always affected my academic performance in one way or another, the first years of school I was quite withdrawn I spoke very little I did not share much with the other children, this in part due to that she was always the new girl who didn't know anyone.
Schooling is an important part of our lives since from a very early age we begin to attend schools between 3 and 4 years of age at preschool, sometimes even at 2 years of age in nursery schools that start those first steps in socialization.
That is why today I am sharing with you some things that I have learned as a daughter, student and mother, aspects that we must take into account when choosing an educational institution for our children, call it nursery school, preschool, college, high school, and I would dare to say that some even apply to the search for a university. I know that there are many other aspects to take into account, however these seemed to me the most relevant.
Location: is it easily accessible? How far is it from home or work? How is transportation in the area? Will we have to get up too early? Do you have a school transportation option? Will we arrive at the indicated time both at the entrance and to look for them at the exit?
Infrastructure: Are the classrooms of an adequate size for the number of students? Do they have good lighting? Do they have adequate spaces for recreation, dining rooms, siesta time? Are these spaces in optimal conditions? Let us ask to know the facilities with confidence.
Philosophy: do I know the values and principles of the institution and do I agree with them? Are they consistent with what we practice at home? For example, some institutions teach religion classes. When I was in sixth grade, it happened to me that my classmates and teachers saw me as a weirdo because I didn't get into catechism classes (because I wasn't Catholic). Indicating what our beliefs are and that they can be respected is a very important factor for me.
Confidence: Do the professionals in charge of running the institution and the teachers who teach there trust you? Do you have acquaintances who can recommend it to you?
Private or public: is the cost adjusted to the family economy? Will you be able to with the monthly cost or will it be more of a headache when making payments? Does the tuition include the cost of the uniform? Some institutions use personalized uniforms which can increase the cost. Public institutions, on the other hand, are a free option that can alleviate expenses, remembering that there are always the costs of school supplies, transportation, snacks, uniforms... At this point I would also like to limit that in private schools we must also anticipate that in the middle of the year there may be increases in the amounts of the monthly payments.
Evaluate several options: having several options is essential when making comparisons, for this we must also search in advance, know the school periods and when enrollment begins.
Certainly it is not an easy task, it requires research, a desire to seek the best for us as parents in our possibilities and that our children can feel in a comfortable environment.
Let's think about how our children will feel there, let's ask them how their new school seems to them, let's talk about the positive aspects, prepare the ground for their start in this new place with new people. Something that has worked for me with Moi (he is my oldest son he is 5 years old) is to talk to him about the work of his teachers who have studied to teach and help him, at the beginning of the second level of preschool his little brother was born and It was a bit difficult for him to start classes with the new teachers, but little by little, telling him that they would give him a lot of love, he also began to feel calmer at school.
We must keep in mind that we will not find the perfect institution and if we enter it, it may be very expensive. There will always be the possibility of finding a good place and striving to establish a solid foundation at home by teaching our children correct principles that will help them anywhere.
Selecting a school is a whole process with many factors to take into account. I see you are new to Hive, this is your second post. my suggestions are to be more consistent and that Hive is a social network, where it is important to interact with other users, commenting on their posts. especially in the niches where you post, not only replying to comments, but also reading and commenting on others posts is a way to make yourself known in the community and will gain you followers and readers.
These factors have been for me the most outstanding within my own experience. Thanks for your tips, I'll put them into practice.
Las preguntas que formulas son realmente buenas, porque engloban todos los requisitos que podemos desear de una institución. Yo tuve mucho inconvenientes cuando estudié, porque lamentablemente en Venezuela hay carencias en las instituciones, así que espero que cuando me toque inscribir a mi hija encontrar alguna que al menos cumpla con la mayoría de las necesidades de mi Sofía.
