Young pine forest of the Karelian Isthmus, early September, and two mushroom photographers on the way. There were plenty of mushrooms underfoot, on the memory cart, and in the basket with packages. They are not in the forest now, nor in the basket. Remained only in the archives and a little in the freezer. I won't get it out of the freezer now. Молодой сосновый лес Карельского перешейка, начало сентября и два грибника-фотографа в пути. Грибов было полно и под ногами, и на кате памяти и в корзине с пакетами. В лесу их сейчас нет, в корзине тоже. Остались только в архивах и немного в морозильной камере. Из морозилки доставать сейчас не буду. Вот если архивы опустеют, тогда да, ничего не останется делать. Но это вряд ли. Наснимали мы тогда много, но ведь это и не единственный мой поход в лес.

Some are just fashion models and don't pretend to have a place in your stomach. While some may be quite edible.
But there is a golden rule of survival, I'm not sure, don't take it.

What a nice mossy forest floor, there must be lots of fog and mist in that forest.
No, this is a fairly dry pine forest. Here, moss grows almost everywhere, there are damp places, but mostly dry.

Is there some kind of body of water nearby like a lake or river? The edges of the great lakes over here almost have a desert atmosphere but in the morning everything gets loaded down with dew to feed the mushrooms/moss.
Oh, there are many small lakes and small marshes here. This is a hilly forest and I am assuming that there are stone layers under the earth. They accumulate melt and rain water. The top of the hills is dry in summer. But rain and dew are usually enough for all the greenery.
