Hello guys, my friend from the south of my country sent me these photos, since it is Digüeñe season.
It is a fungus that grows on the bark of trees
their collection must be with care since if they are taken badly, the next season will not sprout again in the same place.
They are eaten as if they were a salad, with a little lemon and some salt they are very rich, their texture is somewhat chewy, since when they are cut they give off a slime of Digüeñe himself.
I have never participated in their collection since I live very far from where they originate, if everything goes well next year I will have the happiness of being able to collect them, because what it is to eat them, take it for granted
If you are ever on a trip to the South of Chile, between August and October, do not hesitate to taste them, their texture and flavor are unique and wonderful.
thanks for photos are for my dear friend Walo Danza
This is very curious. The mushrooms look insane...
and eating it is even more crazy hahaha
