I have always wanted to do this, but to be honest I don't think I'm confident enough to try it, I just don't trust my capabilities but it is so lovely to read about your journey doing it. I read somewhere previously that you need to do different types of substrate for different types of mushrooms. I don't personally like the taste of oyster mushrooms but I've grown them before just for the joy of doing it, it was so much fun.

Oww, about the taste. You could try some varieties of oyster mushroom such pink colored, brown, yellow and even blue. They might Suits your taste.
