Gestern bin ich erst am Nachmittag zu meiner Tour in den nahen Spessart aufgebrochen. Im Naturschutzgebiet Rohrberg gibt es zu jeder Jahreszeit etwas zu entdecken. Über die alten Eichen und Pilzen hatte ich schon mehrere Beiträge veröffentlicht. Die Eichen waren diesmal nicht mein Motiv. Ich war auf der Suche nach Pilzen. In dem Gebiet angekommen, waren kaum welche zu entdecken. Die wenigen Fruchtkörper waren optisch nicht mehr ansprechend und so habe ich einfach das kalte, aber sonnige Wetter bei meinem Rundgang genossen.
Yesterday I started my tour to the nearby Spessart Forest only in the afternoon. In the Rohrberg nature reserve there is something to discover in every season. I had already published several articles about the old oaks and mushrooms. The oaks were not my motive this time. I was looking for mushrooms. When I arrived in the area, there were hardly any to discover. The few fruiting bodies were no longer visually appealing and so I simply enjoyed the cold but sunny weather during my tour.

Wieder auf dem Rückweg wurde ich doch noch fündig. Austernpilze wuchsen weit oben am Stamm einer Rotbuche. Endlich ein lohnenswertes Motiv, dem ich mit meiner immerhin 12 kg schweren Ausrüstung auf den Leib rücken konnte. So kam alles zum Einsatz was ich in meinem Fotorucksack mit mir geschleppt hatte. Für die Aufnahme oben bot sich mein 200 mm Teleobjektiv an. Um die nachfolgende Aufnahme zu realisieren, habe ich auf mein 35 mm Weitwinkelobjektiv gewechselt.
On the way back I found what I was looking for after all. Oyster mushrooms grew high up on the trunk of a copper beech. Finally a worthwhile motive, which I could get to grips with with my 12 kg heavy equipment. So everything I had carried in my photo backpack was used. My 200 mm telephoto lens was ideal for the photo above. In order to realize the following picture, I changed to my 35 mm wide angle lens.

Natürlich durfte eine Makroaufnahme nicht fehlen. Wie bei fast allen Makros, ist mir das Olympus 60 mm in Kombination mit meiner Lumix G9 ein ein lieb gewonnener Begleiter. So habe ich es nicht bereut, zwei Kameras und 4 Objektive auf meiner Tour dabei zu haben. Meine Frau ist der Meinung, dass ich einen Esel kaufen sollte, welcher den ganzen Kram für mich schleppt 😅
Of course a macro shot was not to be missed. As with almost all macros, the Olympus 60 mm in combination with my Lumix G9 is a favourite companion. So I have never regretted having two cameras and 4 lenses with me on my tour. My wife thinks that I should buy a donkey, which carries all the stuff for me 😅

Letztendlich hat es sich mein Ausflug zum Naturschutzgebiet Rohrberg wieder gelohnt. Mit dem finalen Ergebnis bin ich zufrieden. Wenn ihr mehr über meinen Ausflügen zum Rohrberg erfahren möchtet, lade ich euch ein, meinen nachfolgenden Beiträgen Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken.

It does not really mean work for me. It is simply my way to get the best possible pictures. Photography is so diverse that every path has its justification. With me it is only sometimes a little bit heavier 😏

Ein Soldat mit vollgepacktem Rucksack trägt ähnlich viel. Erinnere mich an meine Bundeswehrzeit. Das war schon echt viel wenn man dann noch 40 Kilometer vor der Brust hatte.

Ich habe nie die Bundeswehr besucht. Aber mein Rucksack kommt vom Gewicht sicher so manchem BW Rucksack nahe. Ich bin froh dass meine Waffen visueller Natur sind und keinem Lebewesen Schaden zufügen 📷😁

Nice picture. I don't use a tripod at all, but it's definitely a shame for mushrooms or flowers. After all, the hand is knocking.
Taking pictures with a tripod is often indispensable. Especially if you want to calculate different levels of sharpness later. But it also helps to create your motif optimally. With me it is exactly the opposite. 80-90% of my pictures are taken with a tripod.

I think you got some decent shots and I really appreciate the camera set up shot a little behind the scenes is always nice
I think it is important to provide some background to the pictures. Many people don't understand the difference between a snapshot and a precisely composed picture. I want to show that there is much more behind my pictures than just expensive equipment. It is and remains only a means to an end.
