The most exciting part of life is the fun we derive from recreation, fun, and rest. In this post, I will be sharing with you, how I spent my weekend and how I have derived joy from doing the most important things. Welcome to my blog. Please read through.
Being a fashion designer is a bit stressful, especially when you are working for different brands simultaneously. That's how I get occupied within the week. From Monday to Friday, I engage in mostly secular actions, creating new designs, making series of cloth request, delivering clothes and satisfying the fashion needs of my clients. At the same time too, I try to balance my time with activities related to worshiping God.
This week, I had lists of clothes to deliver. Although not much, but mostly stressful designs. I successfully completed them by Friday afternoon and was ready for a restful weekend
I received a call from a family friend who said she won a contest award in an online make-up contest scheme. The contest lasted for a month, and it involved posting on social media, getting engagements, likes, comments and feedback. She won the contest from Port Harcourt, Rivers state and was preparing to come to Lagos state, Nigeria to receive the award payment of 500,000 Nigerian Naira, which should be around 625 US dollars.
She told me that she would arrive Lagos by flight on Saturday, and that I should be available to pick her from the airport and accompany her to the award and event place, The event was hosted and organized by Classic Make Up USA company. They produce and market make up items and also engage in several make up related stuffs.
When she arrived, I went and met her, took her to the event place and was involved in the show. It was really fun and interesting, seeing her receive the price and being congratulated.
After every,we parted ways. I had a busy Saturday, and was still about to have a busy Sunday.
My Sunday
On Sunday morning, I did a little work out and jogging, then went back to prepare for our Christian activities and meetings.
Surprisingly, I have not even had a finger tip of the rest I proposed for this weekend, but I'll soon see how much I can create time to rest this Sunday evening. Moreover, I have just received an invitation from some friends to join a beach hangout, and from other friends too, to join a weekend evening party. I'll still decide which one to attend as soon as possible.
