It's the beginning of a new year and truly everyone is up for it.
No matter what, even if you are not moved by inner energy, you will be moved by the hype of new year, new me to create either a goal written on paper, a resolution or a mental creation of what and what you're going to achieve this year and what you're going to do to achieve it.
It's not bad and I hope you know that having it in your head is not the end of it. It must be written down and followed by an action plan but that's not what I really want to talk about.
What I want to talk about is the price attached to the goal.

"Everything has a price but not all prices appear on the label."
Read the quote again.
Before I continue, let's examine a scenario.
A student at school.
For a young child who just finished secondary school and wants to go to higher institution, while preparing for school or college, one of the things that you will consider is the school fee which is the visible price tag for getting the certificate but far beyond the school fee is late night classes, tutorial, going for lectures under the sun and in the rain, waking up early for practical class, missing your sister's wedding due to examination being fixed same date, being away from your parent for long.
All of these are part of the prices that you will pay before getting the certificates but they are invisible. They don't appear on labels.
New year resolutions
Same thing applies to resolutions. You've set a goal and you are ready to pay the price to make your goal a reality.
Sincerely I must commend that.
I just want to tell you or probably remind you that the road is not as straight and easy as it seems. There are prices that you will pay but they are not on the label.
Do you have a target for hive?
Are you ready to write all through the days of 2023?
Maybe you should ask those that have done it before.
There are prices that you will pay. Writer's block, mental stress, late night mental exercise, daily reading to fuel your imagination, engagements, staying around positivity among others.
This is not in any way a discouragement but as highlighted by Morgan Housel,
"the best way to plan is to plan for your plan not going as planned."
That is the point where you will have to pay the prices that were never on the label.
Final note
2023 is here already and the energy and hype is still high. When all hope seems lost, remember there is a price that is not on the label which you must pay to achieve your goal.
Till I cross your path again, I am like a ready made pen in the hand of the creator. I am
