Too many people approach dieting with the expectation that they will fail. Too many people have tried and failed at so many diets in the past that they undertake the next one knowing fully well that they will again fail. What's this? They will.
"If you think that you can or think that you can't, you will always be right," Henry Ford once said. Before you even deprive yourself of the first taste, you are doomed to failure if you believe you will fail at this diet.Consider that before you start since only a true masochist would enjoy continuing this vicious cycle without ever pausing to consider why none of the prior diets have been successful for them.
Another quote from Henry Ford is "Failure is merely the opportunity to try again more wisely."
If you're curious, I'd think his statements are extremely meaningful. But in all seriousness, if you don't look into why you failed the first time, you'll almost certainly repeat the same mistakes. And if you're already going to fail, why on earth bother trying?
The only one who has the power to regulate your hunger is you. The only one who can pay attention and discern between eating out of need and eating for emotional fulfillment is you. You can get up from your chair and stand by yourself, and only you. The only person who can accept responsibility for the situation you find yourself in is you.
There are medical exceptions, but even in these cases, you must eventually understand that it is probably not the diets that aren't working if you keep trying one diet after another and failing.
For all our victories and setbacks in life, we must all take responsibility.
When it comes to dieting, nothing is different. Few things in life are more fulfilling than having someone appreciate your efforts. Unfortunately, it could take a bit longer for folks to actually notice the weight you've dropped if you are quite fat. It is a great shame that too many men and women give up because no one cares.
Before declaring your dieting methods ineffective, give them a chance to succeed. You never know—you might surprise yourself with a resounding success.
In reality, far too few people hold themselves responsible for adhering to their dietary and weight loss goals. This indicates that far too many people give up without genuinely attempting to do so.
Perhaps it would be best to diet with a partner if you have trouble holding yourself responsible for sticking to your eating habits. This assists you in setting goals as well as overcoming obstacles along the way. A partner can also gain from the relationship since they will both be challenged to do better than they would if they were dieting alone.
