So to be sincere if there were to be an award this year for the world best procrastinator this year I will be so sure that I will be the receiver and no matter how much I'm pained when I realise how the teeny unnoticeable cankerworm of Procrastination has eaten away chunky bits of my opportunities and progress, I knew I wouldn't love to end this year on the light note of surrendering to Procrastination and so I got Brian Tracy's Eat that Frog so that I could get a closer look as I trample the ant of Procrastination that has gotten me and while I was reading I thought to share these highlights 🤩

If you have heard this old question " How do you eat an elephant?" You might know that the answer is "One bite at a time!"
You might've been bothered on how to eat your frog especially if it is a big ugly frog. It is just the same way, you break it down into step by step specific activities and then you eat it, you start on the first one.
Your frog is not the one that hops around but it is your biggest task, the one you are most likely to put off till another day so these reviews are meant to put you through in your difficult area
Your ability to think, plan and decide is your most powerful tool for overcoming procrastination.
Your ability to plan before you act measures your competence and so the better your plan the easier it is for you to overcome Procrastination.
INCREASE YOUR RETURN ON ENERGY
Every minute you spend when planning saves as many as 10 minutes in execution. The time you save when planning your day saves you a lot and also helps you to avoid procrastination.
Planning is very advisable because it saves time and it is quite easy to do. All you need is a piece of paper and a pen.
TWO EXTRA HOURS PER DAY
You must always work from your list and before you can feel so confident to work from your list you must have worked in planning your list.
Even when you are feeling confident because your day is going as planned and you are seeing the results still you do not just abandon the list and do things your own way. You need to do things your list way. When something new comes up add it to the list before you do it.
Make your list the night before the workday ahead. Move everything that you have not yet accomplished to your new list and add all that you have to do for the next day.
Your subconscious mind works on the list and when you wake up you will have great insights that will help you to easily accomplish your goals.
DIFFERENT LISTS FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES.
You need a very organized list and by organised I mean you should have different lists for different purposes. You should First create a master list where you will write down. Then you break it down to a monthly list. This may contain items transferred from your master lists then you break it down to Weekly lists
You will also need to break it down to the daily list which contains specific activities that you are going to accomplish the following day.
As you work through the day, tick off the items on your list as you complete them because they give you a visual picture of accomplishment. It raises your self esteem and self respect. Steady visible progress propels you forward and helps you to overcome procrastination.
Planning a project
When you have a project of any kind, you start by making a list of every step from the start to finish.
You then have to organise the steps by Priority and sequence
As you work through your list you will feel more efficient and powerful. You will feel more in control of your life. When you plan your day in advance, you will find it easier to get going and keep going.
Planning helps you to get more things done faster than you thought possible
