When you practice gratitude every day and it becomes an ingrained habit, you’re much less likely to feel negative emotions like being indebted when something beneficial happens to you. When gratitude is a stable practice, you’re more likely to feel satisfied in your relationships and happy. You’re also more likely to do things that help other people and be less materialistic. Try feeling grateful for every little thing, like every bite of food. But, you can start with daily practices like gratitude lists, journals, and expressing your gratitude to others.
