RE: How Do You See Failure? Is It a Friend Dressed Up Like an Enemy?

in Self Improvement2 years ago (edited)

We had a conversation last night with this lady at home who will be studying in England by September...she's in hesitation to whether take up her passion (music) or be practical (any course that could give her job instantly, business related for instance)....

As for me, i want her to be practical first before pursuing her passion since no one in her family supports music.. I just told her that, if she can't get the encouragement and support she need from her family, get it from herself.... Get a job first, then pursue her passion after...but if she can handle both, then why not...
However, she was uncertain when she thought about the possibilities of forgetting her passion once she chose to be practical which is somewhat true in some cases...

I just told her that she's still young and shouldn't be worried much about it..things change... Who knows, she might get some inspiration abroad and her passion might change as well..she might encounter something big that could give her better life in the future..just don't stop dreaming, believe in herself, and never lose hope..

Just sharing this although a bit off topic 😅...
It's okay to failed sometimes but we shouldn't stop dreaming..we learn from our experience and encounter new possibilities.. But for sure, after some failures, there'll always be a new beginning and more room for opportunities..

We become who we are because of those failures..

Hey Jane, apologies for the untimely response here. Not been feeling well these past few days and don't have that much energy to comment and curate other stuff ( still active in Discord though for the latest happening.)

At times, our situation is the one that hinders us from achieving what we want in life. Been in that situation too, when I was at a crossroads whether to pursue a degree or go back to work again since finances were already depleting. There are regrets... as I chose work but still there's an un-lived life waiting for it to happen.

However, she was uncertain when she thought about the possibilities of forgetting her passion once she chose to be practical which is somewhat true in some cases...

These are valid and a lot forgot about their dreams after hitting the earning phase. Hopefully she can do both, or still practice while working.

We become who we are because of those failures..

Love it! Our failures helps us to grow and mold us to be a better version of ourselves ! LUV !PIZZA
