RE: Aim point

Hello @galenkp How have you been? I've been taking a step back and exploring other avenues. I understand when you say that during one's life events force you to change direction. Some events direct you in a positive path; others may not.

At some point in your life, maybe early or later, you have to stop and take a look at where you're at in that moment. Sort of like a fork in the road. You get to choose which path you now want to pursue.

For me, it happened when the last of my children left home. I was finally free to pursue my own dreams after having placed them on hold for over 20 years. Then after retirement, I was able again to take a look at what I had done since the children left and decide whether I was going in the direction I wanted to. I realized that although they had left, I was still stuck in the same pattern as though I was waiting for them to call with a need. Still waiting to help someone else in need. It's a major awakening to look back and see what you've been doing; then forcefully decide to turn and look forward drawing upon what you've done in the past.

I must say, it's a freedom moment; the moment the shackles fall off.

I see you got a downvote from the same account that hit me last night. I thought about pursuing it, but decided it was a waste of my time.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a good rest of your week.

Evaluating one's life means one is better-paced to move it in the desired direction by changing course, or simply the confirmation that it is moving in the right direction.

I hope your step back is working out for you and thanks for your comment, and reading my post in the first place. :)
