RE: The Universe Is On Your Side - El Universo Está En Tu Lado. En/Es

in Self Improvement4 years ago (edited)

Ther are peopl who know they need to change but feel uncomfortable making the change because (in part) they feel phony in saying certain things or acting in certain ways. I've heard about "faking it until you make it," and I believe that has its place in any toolbox of change. Then there is that famous liar from Seinfeld, George Costanza, who passes all lie detector tests because-- in his words-- "it's not a lie if you believe it."

I'm not endorsing lying; that has too much downside. I think the point is that you need to convince yourself of a necessary change in mindset and work ethic before you can truly be all-in on it and live it.

Once you have that belief the in change you need to make, it seems to come about more easily. Then it begins a cascade of changes which lead to bigger and better things. Obstacles of all kinds still present themselves, but they feel more like speed bumps which can be passed. Eventually the obstacles become pebbles, as Jay noted recently.

As a side benefit of making the necessary changes to allow God and the universe to be on our side, we aquire good karma. That can't hurt.

YES! Beliefs are everything. If you believe you will, you will. If you believe you won't, you won't. And yes it does cascade because what we focus on we get more of.

Thank you so much for a spot on comment. I always appreciate your words. Wishing you much happiness and love today and always.
