Are you stressed from work?
Are you always busy and can't enjoy a moment of relaxation? The sporting answer to hectic life is target shooting with an air pistol.
You need attention and concentration and learn to live the technical gesture, dissect it in its sequence, repeat it mentally before executing it.
A continuous improvement that improves by learning to manage anxiety, before it becomes tension and you start to sweat, increasing self-esteem and learning to slow down your breathing, to do that gesture of aiming and hitting the target with calm and tranquility.
A race can last up to two hours. One must stand upright and maintain a long concentration.
To be ready to do it, you need to train all your muscles, learn to assume a comfortable and natural position. To distribute the weight on both legs, spread apart to increase the support base.
The head must be facing the target placed 10 meters away.
First rule: safety.
During training and competitions, the pistol must never be aimed at yourself or at other people, up or down, right or left, but only in the direction of the target.
The finger should be placed on the trigger only when the weapon is aimed at the target.
The second rule is that to become a good shooter you need 80% mental exercise and the remaining 20% physical activity.
I'm not familiar with this sport, however I have a brother who is a police officer who is often found shooting at the shooting gallery, he goes there for updates regarding his work often but, sometimes, also to relax a bit; not being familiar with these things, initially I didn't understand however, he explained everything to me and made me understand how much there is actually a lot behind the gesture of shooting and hitting a target.
Obviously we are talking at a sporting level since it is an Olympic discipline.
I don't go into other areas because they really aren't my skills and then the ideas and thoughts on shooting firearms and so on are very different.
In this short post I wanted to talk about a sport that can be relaxing as well as enhance many sides of a person's character which, if you think about it, is the prerogative of all sports.
Do you practice any sport in particular? Maybe just shooting? I'm open to all comments, ideas and thoughts, you can write anything that crosses your mind below heh heh!
Hug you!
English is not my first language but I try, please forgive any errors.
I once tried to shoot stress, it kept moving. It does that though right? It ebbs and flows with life's changes and happenings. I don't try and shoot it these days, just work with it as doing so, not fighting it but understanding how to mitigate it, tends to bring me better results.
By the way, I actually disagree with this...The finger should only be placed on the trigger when one want's to make the shot. 😊
Eh eh stress moves a lot, but with commitment and precision you catch it!
Yes, I agree that perhaps it would be more appropriate to put your finger on the trigger only when you want to shoot... it is clear that you are more expert than me in this field 😉
Yeah, me or someone else who I am when I'm not me. 😁
Target shooting is fun and I do that at arcade zone. They have target shooting and shooters game that are fun to try. Shooting can be expensive hobby so yeah, I don't often do it 😁
Eh eh yes, some sports and some hobbies are really expensive, for example golf.
As a sport, however, target shooting is really fun and helps to develop many excellent skills and qualities. 💪
