Hello friends! I started a little challenge for myself where I am focusing on a micro habit for a month, to try and establish it in my regular day-to-day. A micro habit isn't a big thing (as you may have guessed based on the name), but just a little thing that might lead to bigger changes.
I had realized that I was spending a lot of time at the computer, and not really getting up except when I needed the bathroom or to get a drink or something like that. It's not healthy to sit for long periods, or to stare at a screen for long periods either, so I wanted to establish the habit of getting up and moving around even if just for a few minutes to break up my long sessions sitting down. This isn't about establishing a hardcore exercise routine, but simply about stopping the habit of sitting at the computer for too long.
So some of the days I did actually go out and go for a walk, but other times it's just knocking out a set of pushups. The point is to break the monotony and move a little more than it is gaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiinz, LOL.
I put these notes on my front door so I wouldn't forget, and I could keep track of my progress. Today I am at the halfway point!
Today I took down the days 1-15 notes and replaced them with days 16-31, so I could continue.
Here's hoping this really establishes a habit of breaking up long work sessions at the computer. Do you all struggle with this too?
Thanks for reading! :)
Some people say that in 21 days is easier to become a habit!!
good to start with small changes in the routine.
Saludos ❤️
Thanks very much! :)

I had the same problem... Especially when I already have a good rhythm going and am pretty focused, it's hard to step away to even fix myself something to eat. Well, my body gave me signs to stop it and the physiotherapist gave me good pointers and exercises to do when I'm sitting at my desk for long periods of time.
Not saying I kept to it everyday, but whenever I remembered the exercise I tried to do some or just walk a bit to loosen those muscles.
Right! Even just a little break and a stretch or moving around helps.
Good for you! I'm glad you've been able to follow through so well!
Thanks! :D

I'm lovin 'it. I would also like to implement new habits in my life. I like going for a walk... I just haven't been very excited and the least I want is to go out ha ha but I wish I could draw every day. Sometimes for what I am going to achieve, but something always happens and I leave it ha ha although well, I think the important thing is not to give up and go back to it. You could take advantage of when you go for a walk and take some interesting pictures or take a good look around you, sometimes we find things that we had never noticed due to the daily hustle and bustle, such as a new store, a freshly painted mural or flowers hehe Good luck establishing your new habit!!!
Thanks very much! :D
Are you participating in Inktober where you draw every day?
!LUV
hehe you're welcome :)
Well... it was supposed to be... In fact, I liked 3 drawing challenges, but even though I started one, I had to stop it because I've been a bit busy... or sometimes I don't feel like drawing hee hee but I hope I'll get back to it as soon as I feel better...
Oh I hope you feel better soon!
Hehe thanks!!! your post motivated me a bit! Sometimes we forget to focus and that's what discourages us hehe
