Hello hivers! It's been weeks and I always plan on doing an entry on my blog about the new journey that I tried. It's been weeks and I have a lot to share that I don't know already where to start 😅.
Buckle up as I am to start sharing things and experiences with you. 😊
Day 1
A new day, a new phase, a new journey, and a new story. A day where it's just a normal day to spend as a new person in the eyes of new people. September 5, 2023, I am no longer a teacher but I am now a student. A student who was once a teacher who will forget her position as a teacher to create a blank slate in the space she tries to discover.
As I entered the gates of Don Bosco, I chose to forget the person I was. I am only a teacher by heart this time because in 38 days I will be a typical student who wants to discover new skills. I live upon the quote "Learn, relearn, and unlearn, As of this time I am trying to learn new skills, and relearning to socialize with other individuals.
On the first day of our orientation, we were only spending time getting to know each other. We were grouped into four and introduced ourselves in our group. We picked a leader to present us all in the class. After the introduction done by the group, we spent time watching the movie about the life of St. John Bosco as a part of our activity to get to know where our school comes from and how it is named after St. John Bosco.
We were also given rules and regulations within the premises. Just like any other student, we were doing the regular tasks of a student, doing the chores and prayer every start and end of the class. What made us different was that every Wednesday, we were having a mass. That's just all for the first day of our orientation
Day 2 and 3
We played the "I Found My Life Game". It is a game that teaches me so much sense in life and how others seem to be living their lives.
This is a game where I get to know stories from people whom I thought my life was tougher than theirs.
P.S.(I don't have a photo during the game but this time we were watching some clips and photos taken by our instructor. This is during day 3.)
The instructions of the game were, first we were instructed to pick one random number of our choice that represents us or that will serve as our life. Second, we were asked to familiarize the trace of how our number would be felt or traced by the time we were blindfolded. Third, we were asked to surrender or give our numbers to the person in charge of the game. Fourth, we were asked to be blindfolded, and lastly, we were spread in a place where we were able to find or trace the numbers that we chose.
The game is really enjoyable yet a test of attitude, faith, patience, perseverance, and character.
From the game itself, it is quite moving because all the participants were blindfolded. All we have to do is trust the organizers if they would not play with us too. They already told us that the numbers were already spread on the court, yet we haven't found any. We haven't found our numbers but we are still looking for it.
The game keeps going. We kept on searching our numbers blindfolded. We kept the hope that we were able to have our life (the numbers) back even when we hadn't seen light or we were blinded by circumstances.
Often I am able to get numbers but not the number that I choose to represent as my life. I once took hold of my number and took care of it, not until someone grabbed it and I lost it again.
I felt upset, angry, and discouraged to continue the game. So I stopped searching for it, I just moved a little bit having no interest in searching for it. In the eyes of the other person watching, I already surrendered the fight. But in my mind, I just murmured and consoled myself by saying, "If it really is for me, it will come right in front of me because that is my life and I don't have to search for it, it will come in time."
Not until someone approached me asking what was my number and I answered "Number 19" Then I heard him walk a distance and give me my number saying "Barog na dha ma'am kasurrenderon nman kayka ug nawng dha" (Stand up ma'am and here's your number, you look like you're about to surrender). And that leaves me teary-eyed denying to him that I didn't surrender.
Realization 101 With the Game
Yes! The life I live and yours is extremely different. The story, the experiences, and how I became a person today vary on how we see and value life.
That doesn't mean you stop searching and surrender the fight you have lost, that only means that you accepted that you are not yet meant to be on that goal.
Oftentimes we keep on searching for ourselves thinking that we've lost light or lost it, but we just don't know that the life we've been searching for is already in us. We are just blinded by some obstacles, or we just let ourselves be blinded by the circumstances that we meet along the way. We kept on searching for the life we thought was ours from others' lives, we kept on begging and wanting the life of the other person and not thinking to appreciate the life that we already have.
I've heard different stories from the sharing based on the activity and the only bottom line is,
that we are the ones holding and choosing the life we choose to live, yes there were obstacles that would stop us but it is always our choices and how we trust others and ourselves really matters.
That's a wrap for today. This has been @rhianmaker saying, thank you for sharing and reading my blogs. I hope you are all doing fine and always remember to take time to breathe, chill, relax, and make every day a brand new day to start a new life.
Until my next blog😊.
Enjoy the rest of the night😊. Ciao❤️
Congrats on the decision of going back to study. I think it's never too late. I see you had a good start full of excitement. Also, it would be great if you could be a little more active as engagement is key on Hive. I hope I can count on you :)

Congrats on your new journey @rhianmaker
Would be great to have watched the game. Anyways i guess you right sometimes we just need to take a step back and plan again.. just because a plan fails doesn't mean the objective does
Absolutely! sadly I was not able to capture a photo from the game. Thanks for dropping by in my blog😊
Ohh thank you for thanking me☺️☺️
You know sometimes it's hard to make a decision but then we can not move forward in life we can't just close our eyes and make a good decision even if it's going to hurt at first. I like that fact that you said we learn and re-learn, learning is from birth to grave so we keep learning.
I must say that you have taken a good step ahead and I wish you good luck 🤞

Thank you so much. It's hard on balancing decisions because we don't know what would be the outcome but at least I tried to make a new one.
Learning is a continuous process even though we already have Bachelor’s Degree. Still, we are learning until our life ends. Anyway, you did a wise decision to continue your studies. Good luck!
Thanks.I may hear a little discouragement from my decision but I'm happy I took the courage.
Don't be discourage when it gives learning to yourself.
