Sometimes there's no other way than to wait, and when it comes to some of these things, they surely are better left untouched. Chances are, you'll probably be better off with a calm and carefree stance. No matter the amount of force you apply, a few certain things, a list of processes, will always carry on with the pace that they find suitable. Keeping your eyes glued to the clock and calendar won't really make much of a difference. Sadly, there's no fast forward button.
Instead of wasting that time worrying about it all, instead of getting all worked up for the end result, we should try to be patient and let it flow for a while. Let the outcome reveal itself on its own, and maybe, just maybe, it will surprise you.
A result you have no control over, an outcome that completely depends on others, on their decisions and their timing, something of that sorts shouldn't really create much of a fuss in your life.
Yes, you might have a huge stake in the game, but the moment you chose to put it all on the line, exactly at that moment it became a part of a process, and that process listens to no one. All you can really do right now is wait.
So, you should instead, by choice, use that time to focus on another task, something productive, maybe focus on an aspect you actually have control over.
Yes, deadlines have not been met, yes, you were promised a certain date and time, yet, here you are, way past that day and date.
It all looked and felt so genuine this time, the words, the promise, everything just felt concrete, felt positive, as if things have FINALLY started to fall into place. Felt as if you were finally going to get that piece of the pie, the piece that you were promised a taste of, a piece with your name on it.
Yet, when the time comes, you're left waiting, once again. You find yourself going through the calendar once more, checking the clock repeatedly, trying to rush and fast forward to the newly "promised" date and time. A part of yourself does tell you to relax, to let go if it, it tells you to have faith in the process, but that fidgety side and behavior of yours does not want to stop.
And that's exactly the behavior you want to get rid of. A lot of us tag ourselves as "patient" human beings, and yes, some of us may have quite "successfully" waited for a fairly lengthy period of time. But have you really been patient enough? Have you maintained full confidence and trust in the process? Or have you been acting restless and have complained with every little inconvenience?
"Patience is not simply the ability to wait, it's how we behave while we're waiting" - Joyce Meyer
